stock cachyOS so KDE and bash I assume? double clicking won't work, iirc it doesn't spawn a terminal window. you should be able to right click -> run in terminal.
also, your solution has a few issues.
there is no need to change .command, you could rename the file to .goon and it would work all the same. Plus you should specify bash in your command because "sh" is a shortcut to the default shell which can change.
