2 was the default green one.This is because you have forced the use of a wrong version... let the UnRen-forall.bat choose the good and hit enter.
Just curious, have you downloaded the 4 files?
2 was the default green one.
Use the launcher, the green one was 2 and the choice was Enter for default [2] :, just enter or press 2 enter, screen just close.
Interesting, using UnRen-legacy-9.6.42, seems to extract and decompile fine also.
Have you downloaded and extracted the 4 files at the same place, like described in the Installation...Use the launcher, the green one was 2 and the choice was Enter for default [2] :, just enter or press 1 (red one) enter, screen just close.
Use UnRen-forall-cfg, a pop up just flashes.
Sorry, missed the installation thinking the launcher has everything just like the batch file before.Have you downloaded and extracted the 4 files at the same place, like described in the Installation...
UnRen-forall-cfg it's just a configuration file! You have not read the Installation instructions...
I'll think about it.joelurmel
Four different files for unren are IMHO too much hassle and for "some people" confusing. Is there no way to unify this stuff a bit? If not or if you're against it, then i would at least bundle them for the download together. Way easier.
Besides this, good work. Looks fine so far.
Did you mean PenfoldMole's?I wanted to add the Universal TextBox to UnRen, but I've lost my good link the search return too much, including one I wrotebut it hasn't been downloaded much, so I guess it's not good enough.
Can someone share a link, I don't to waste my time for checking all versions.
It should work in any cases with Ren'Py 7 and 8
TIA
Yes, Thanks
The old version I have (UnRen-forall.bat) is labeled 'forall (v9.6.57) (250813)'I've made this scripts with <3 for you and to simplify the management of your favorite games.
You have now a multilingual (de, en, es, fr, it, ru) launcher batch (UnRen-forall.bat) Version 0.14
a legacy batch (UnRen-legacy.bat) Version 9.6.43 for Ren'Py <= 7
and a current batch (UnRen-current.bat) Version 9.6.57 for Ren'Py >= 8
The launcher was initially designed to launch the correct batch depending on the Ren'Py version .
Then I realized that it would be useful to add options that do not depend on Ren'Py.
As I continued coding, additional ideas led me to add multilingual support and new independent features.
Please read the Installation section, which contains important information.
You do not need to download UnRen-links.txt, as it is used automatically by the various UnRen-*.bat files for automatic updating.
You can ignore the false alert from Microsoft AV...

That's because in version 53, it was just a single script. It became current in version 57 with a few updates.The old version I have (UnRen-forall.bat) is labeled 'forall (v9.6.57) (250813)'
And the latest version (UnRen-current.bat) is labeled 'current (v9.6.53) (250816)'
Is this simply a naming error?
I meant I have a single file (UnRen-forall.bat) v9.6.57 you updated before the launcher version.That's because in version 53, it was just a single script. It became current in version 57 with a few updates.
In fact, now UnRen-forall is a launcher without any action to the Ren'Py games.
It starts UnRen-current.bat (still 9.6.57) for Ren'Py >= 8 or UnRen-legacy.bat for Ren'Py
You're absolutely right, I'll correct that right away! Thank you.I meant I have a single file (UnRen-forall.bat) v9.6.57 you updated before the launcher version.
I downloaded the launcher version (with 3 batch files) now and it is labeled v9.6.53 (UnRen-current.bat)
So I asked because I thought if you might have added an older version file.
Still, you're basically hijacking VepsrP's thread to push your version... not cool.When I have time, maybe.
For now, the priority is to finish the code.
Still, you're basically hijacking VepsrP's thread to push your version... not cool.
Should have started your own thread right from the start...
This only confuses folks thinking they are the same tools...
Yea, I think most regulars are aware he's basically keeping VepsrP's code current since he's been gone for a while, and personally I appreciate it. No point splitting into a different thread. And besides, VepsrP built off of Sam's inital version anyway so it's not original to him.Because, for now, is still his code...
Gah. Hogwash! Do you know how many people over the years have collaborated on Unren? yoyomistro pointed also already to it.Because, for now, is still his code...
