I pine for historical setting adult games that are not fantastical.
To be fair, there's a scant few that are set in ancient Rome/Greece/Egypt but we've got thousands of years worth of sexual history to work with, I'm flabbergasted there isn't more period setting adult games. It's all the rage in traditional erotic fiction.

Good idea, i actually looking into Rogulike, XCOM based theme
the problem is that game engines like Renpy and RPGM is not good enough to make such games
you need something like ue5, gadot, unity but they required much more knowledge and time
Has anyone mentioned straight anthros/furries/whatever yet? Well, then I will be the first. And, as already mentioned: historical (And, I will add, prehistoric. Because there is a sadly small number of nubile savages in the games) settings.
P.S. From something (was there too much coffee?) the idea of a crossover between "Breeders of the Nephelym" and "Dawn of Man" (plus some elements of "Station master") came to mind: The MC can fuck any girl he likes and breed (almost) any women with (almost) any man, because the local Stone Age tribes perceive him as a sacred spirit, but there is a nuance. This is possible only if MC fulfills his duties (gives good luck on the hunt, protects from diseases and other evil spirits sent by evil neighbors, etc.), while his possibilities are limited (he can use UAVs and antibiotics, but can't cause rain or bring new game to replace the overhunted) and the disappointment of the locals in the guardian spirit can be fatal.

Back when I was in University, me and some friends did a 24 hour game jam.
We made this crappy platformer about cavemen - Joe & Mack style. The plot was about aliens coming to earth and they abducted all the burly male cavemen (to use as fast food meat) but the MC, who was this twink boy caveman, and all the cavewomen were left behind. So they sneak onto the alien ship, fight the aliens and rescue the the others yadda yadda yadda.
It was janky and buggy and barely worth playing.
But the idea could easily be morphed into an adult game. MC caveman gets a harem of cavewomen and babe-liens. It's just corny enough that you could make a comedy porno game out of it.
If any would-be developers read this - feel free to steal that idea. And DAZ has a lot of alien/dinosaur/prehistory assets. Just saying.

Genres, so not specific fetishes ? I'm fun with anything as long as it deviates from the typical "moving in with my aunt or moving back to my stepmom btw jk my dad's dead" storyline that's been done to death. Heck, I'd rather have isekai and school settings and those aren't that refreshingly new either.
For me I'd rather see different type of story settings, so I dunno maybe a ski trip or a haunted forest survival trip, games set in different eras like the 80s or Ancient Egypt (I know that some exist already, but more are never amiss), different worlds...etc.

Honestly? ANY genre except VN, match 3, platformer, or JRPG. The only real requirement is having mechanics that are at least somewhat good on their own, without the porn. Do that and the game will already stand out. Have good porn (writing + plot + characterisation + art) on top of good mechanics, and it will be an absolute banger.
Personally I want a farming rpg (think Stardew valley) but that is a tall order.
On the porn side of things I want an actual trainer (not to be confused with VNs delivering a story of a training process). It has been a decade since the last decent attempt.

I would even expand this to realistically looking females and also diverse in terms of shapes and sizes. Skinny and chubby, some with tiny/flat chest instead of only-upper-midsize-to-unrealistically-gigantic boobs. Saggy tits, wrinkles and stretch marks, ffs. Like, Emily from "My Emily" is really hot even tho she is imperfect by VN standards. Same as that redhead mommy from "Personal Trainer".
That also applies to men. A guy with some extra weight would make a game look more believable. Also, of course, dicks below pornstar length are welcome, and I don't mean SPH but just an average length (it's not hard to google the actual stats worldwide).
What I saw and liked massively - more of a fetish rather than a genre - progressing casual nudity in the environments and situations that normally do not suppose this. The author of "Sins of the Father" does a good job spicing up a generally incest story with this.
Genre-wise - many things are untouched. But I think they are untouched for a reason. It may be very difficult to combine explicit adult elements with a story of, say, a detective doing an investigation, with important choices being made in both aspects (not only "cum on tits or inside" or "should I booty call A or try to seduce B", but also "where to go to search for evidence" and "who to speak to for more info"). It might take a proper book-level writier or a movie-level screenwright (or a team of those) to build a story that engages and does not fall apart.
That means more work of people highly skilled in writing, editing, designing, animating etc - which means more time - and most likely bigger budgets. All of it does not make a good business plan in an industry with such a high level of piracy. I mean, at least, look where we are talking tight now...

I actually have been working in almost every genre everyone has commented here.
I may be the only dev working in something similar (i personally have see a couple tps, made in unreal or unity but tbh, low quality, full of bugs and with low effort porn scenes ●︿●)
I have some projects on hold due to pandemic, that ranges from Fps Horror/action To TPS Re4 like, RE fixed Camera puzzle survival horror, topdown roguelike shooter, some 3D Roguelike rpg's.
I even have plans and research on doing something similar to GTA (yes, pretty ambitious ik.)

This is the email I received a couple of days ago. And the projects (most of them private) I've been working. Yes all are adult games, and yes all of em are at least in prototype phase.
the hospital one, started like a fixed camera survival horror (Re style) but then I decided to go fps RE7 like.
PD: the last two projects are still in public, although I haven't updated their statuses in over a year. (they are only devlogs)
I quite agree with everyone, although I would say that from experience; The reason most adult games are VN or RPGmaker style games is because of their simplicity. I'm not trying to thow hate at anyone or offend anyone, but most adult game developers are artists, hobbyists, or just don't have the knowledge to make an actual game. Some of them are veterans of general 3d areas and are excellent at it. But due to the complexity of making an actual game, most of them stick to simple mechanics.
On top of that, there's the fact that adult games are aimed at... adults (duh). so I guess a COD NSFW parody game doesn't fit this section of the gamer market.
I have been thinking this alot lately, I may be doing something risky. Maybe I also should stick to Renpy-Daz/honeyselect combo. (´−｀) ﾝｰ

I wish some dev had the balls to make a celebrity fake photos and deepfake porn game. Sure, you might get sued, but that's a risk I'm willing to take.
This is the most interesting suggestion imo.
The taboo of violence has already been broken in the mainstream and horror games and certain action games are allowed to be pretty violent or even gorey. Think about headshots as a ubiquitous game mechanic. Porn on the other hand is still taboo.
Even though we've got devs willing to give their porn games a mainstream look, like e.g. Wild Life and Carnal Instinct, they don't really do anything with the potential they unlocked by breaking the taboo. These games are still just fapping material or action games with added fapping material. The sex is fan service, like a reward for playing the game, but nothing more.
Now, Lust from Beyond is not a bad game, but it's indie as fuck, for lack of a better term, even though it's made by "professionals". It's still a good example for the potential that explicit games can have.
It's about a guy with sex addiction that gets abducted by a lovecraftian sex cult and subsequently saved by another less violent lovecraftian sex cult. Throughout the story the guy discovers that orgies and cumming into blob-shaped monsters is kind of his style and that his sex addiction wouldn't be a problem, if everybody else were as horny as him.
The final showdown features a sex scene with the mutated version of the sexy antagonist, who now has an exposed womb with her ribs sticking out and a tentacle as one of her arms, with which she finishes the PC off on what was once her face, but is now a gaping hole. Not really sexy, but kind of badass.
My point is that there are settings and themes to explore, which haven't been explored before, if you're willing to have explicit sex in your game. Romance games could be over the top intimate, just like horror games are over the top gorey.
