The game is abandoned. 0.8 will be released, but the game will not get any more development. Its not abandoned yet.. He will release 0.8 and then he will abandon it (or rush end it).

I'm not going into a discussion about this (no matter how much I would like to) but technically he is still "developing" 0.8.The game is abandoned. 0.8 will be released, but the game will not get any more development.
I did see a note from SmurfyBlue2, was that you?Wow... I can't believe it's gonna end.
I can't actually post anything on his patreon anymore because... you know, he blocked/banned me from posting.
But I do have a message for him, although I doubt he'll ever see it here (If anyone would be so kind as to pass on my message for me? ;D)

Very sad to hear this. I hope you can sort everything out and have it all work out in the end. But, you've created some very good games and I think you'll always be remember for the quality of the games you have made!
----
And yes, I do believe that Nergal has always had quality in his games, because even if he had a bit of a mess in one release it would be fixed by the next, which is something even some AAA games don't/can't do!
Haha, yeah that was me. Created the account just so I could post that! XDI did see a note from SmurfyBlue2, was that you?
Sad to see him end, I loved AZL though it definitely got bogged down for me after awhile, still it is a quality game for what it is. No idea what is going on with him, but good luck to him.
At this point maybe we should just do it ourselves? I could do the making and maybe some of the writing, but I could never do any art. Look at my Avatar, I drew that thing. That's about the best my art gets to without copying existing art.the curse of the Wootch strikes again can this damn game ever be completed. Urban life/urban demons so good :teary:
at this point i guess its up to the fans to finish itthe curse of the Wootch strikes again can this damn game ever be completed. Urban life/urban demons so good :teary:
To be fair, He did pay for his artists for drawing and other stuff. Also, his project did last longer than Wootch's project.after all the money he'd made he just dumps these project i hope he fails at everything :test3:
i honestly can't understand how people who make it big on patreon can fail their projects. with the money hes making he would hire more/better coders, more/better artists. he could work no his own time and he has 100% control of the story and all future updates.sad. but honestly i start to ingore his progress many months ago. he was too ambitious and making a too slow/struggled progress for all the money he got... it was clear that he will fail at all.
Most of the money he made was spent on artwork for those projects. He's pretty close to finishing both of them too. Yes, it's sad that he's dropping them so close to finishing, but he's also been one of the few dev's who was consistent and updated monthly. And when he didn't update, he'd explain why and try to have it out asap.after all the money he'd made he just dumps these project i hope he fails at everything :test3:
I agree with him being a bit too ambitious. But he wasn't slow, he released two games monthly. And he could do that because he hired two artists to work on one game each. Yes, he did struggle at some points on each game, but even professional game companies struggle and have to abandon certain things they really wanted to include in a game.sad. but honestly i start to ingore his progress many months ago. he was too ambitious and making a too slow/struggled progress for all the money he got... it was clear that he will fail at all.
I'm of the opinion that many of those guys who are making big bucks but fail at their projects or are constantly changing from one project to another, are in it just for the money.i honestly can't understand how people who make it big on patreon can fail their projects. with the money hes making he would hire more/better coders, more/better artists. he could work no his own time and he has 100% control of the story and all future updates.
instead of being stingy with the money you should spend it on making the game, that way money keep on flowing but i guess people are greedy and stupid...
maybe youre right. i'd remember some projects of western companies which did fail painfully.Yes, he did struggle at some points on each game, but even professional game companies struggle and have to abandon certain things they really wanted to include in a game.
