This might be just me, but these thick white rings depicting the sword swings are sometimes too much in games. I would prefer maybe just a thin line ring from the tip of the sword. Not something trying to represent Saturn. I think the best idea would be to minimize shit that impedes visual display, not add to it. But again, this might be just me. Otherwise, looks intriguing enough to try out.

The thing is, in the dimly lit cave where MC starts up, it is really hard to make a mental picture of what is going on. Things might get lighter in the next part, but for the beginning, just like bullets, or arrows, if you have no notion of where you hit or what the tool actually does, in a setting where it is hard to grasp their utility, there is literally not much to see anyway.

The target refuses to lock on enemies, for some reason, but it latches on the companion who does nothing, while the target pointer does nothing to actually help connect the blows to the enemies. No notion of space awareness, no control on the movements, a mess all around.

  • Awkward Control Scheme - Movement has weird end lag and there are some pieces of terrain you just can't pass over.
  • Combat is Terrible - Every Swing has absurd end lag and trying to string together attacks leaves you sliding off the enemy and ending up behind them facing the wrong way. Which the enemy recovers far faster than you do and often gets free hits in because of it. You can't lock on despite there being a control for it which is always a "win". You will get staggered on every hit but enemies never seem to stagger when you strike them.
Skip this one until its got a good few updates in, its not worth the 6 GB download right now.
