Let the man work ... 90% of VAM users are probably pirates from this board anyways. Who pay $0 to his monthly patreon. That sob is milking the project, because even if he lost his passion, he could easily cut in a programmer and designer on the revenue and produce a STAND ALONE product with full market share. There's no competition, and no better time to ensure full dominance of the niche market. This is especially true because K and J modders are producing content heavily for this program. He could dip deeper into the Asian market easily and have a great spike in revenue. Meshed's team has no financial or marketing planner; that is very clear. It's a great shame that no popular VaM forks have been made, because the modders could easily surpass the original. Meshed is hoarding the product in an ivory tower, choking out growth.
Meshed likely knows once version 1.0 releases:
- His patreon subs will drop
- He'll then watch people pirate VAM2
- He'll then watch pirates complain why VAM2 community members are not giving their assets for free. (Which happened for VAM1)
