Not saying this has to be the case of this dev specifically, as I don't know them, but there's a lot of lazy ones who don't really care all that much.
One can only hope this one plans on improving things on that end, otherwise this project isn't gonna get much support.

Images started out pretty good but once the sex started it went all kinds of sideways. At one point she has 4 legs and at another the guy has like 20 fingers going all kinds of weird directions

So far "slow-burn" = lot of AI slop in writing. While characters are quite visually consistent, the rest... well... Was lured by bit darker theme, but one scene (all there is in 1.0) is enough to see the author doesn't have the storytelling skills.
Version 1.2 just dropped on Itch (free). I enjoyed the new scene but would love a transparent text box option (rather than having to continually press "H" to see the entire scene bit by bit).

there are 3 things needed to make a great game ...or interactive story
the STORY, THE ART ,and the ability to make decisions for the Character
With out the ability to choose it becomes a Kinetic novel AND SHOULD BE TAGGED AS SUCH ....
There does not seem to be a main protagonist to this story so there is no real immersion factor
While the story is interesting killing off what you presume to be the main character in the second installment is confusing
therefore if there is a main character it would have to be Sofia .
This man , we know as Mr. Carter , seems to be a sadistic psychopath with very perverted deviant tendencies Trafficking in sex rape and violence .. the story except for some minor typos is well written in a creepy sort of way making it come off more like an erotic horror story Again there is a HORROR tag missing
4/10 the Art : Though AI fits well with the story there are a lot of odd artifacts so you can't pay too close attention to the images and are forced to enjoy the story for the writing ........ it comes off with a more impressionist view than actual representations ( this is the problem with all AI art so you kind of have to look past it to enjoy it )
that said TWO MORE tags are needed Kinetic novel ....Horror ........the horror tag is not because of the AI but because of the dark nature of the story .

Dev your poses are really badly showing the influence of "stock photo" type poses. You should be able to get rid this by using "stock photo" as a negative prompt. (don't add "no stock photos" to the prompt that will only make it worse, the AI should have a separate field for negative input)
all the Dev need´s is good Prompting with his negatives and maybe a few good loras.
Sex is always a little tricky with text only.And also depend huugly at the Checkpoint you used ....

the ai images are fine but ai is not there for writing, it just feels so unfocused and wasteful, like every line is a cliche that doesn't move the story forward because the bot doesn't KNOW your story
