No he did nothing bad.
It's just the rebirth ending was really poorly done. Well, not only the ending...also the game felt rushed (which is an achievement for an game, which for most of the time was treading water and filled with empty talk, lots of empty talk), loose threads etc

I think it was just the lack of faith in the writing after how badly Rebirth fumbled at about the halfway point, or maybe even earlier than that.

As someone who isn't a patron i have no room to talk but i do think people are hard on likesblondes. I thought Rebirth was great then good. Kind of a bummer that their stuff is received so poorly now

Imo it's started great and and then took a dive to wtf territory.

Rebirth didn't end where it should end.
Near the end of the story there was some battle with an ancient vampire which was a kind of final showdown and would work well as the ending. But no, after that scene the game went on yet for some time, filled with some unimportant boring babbling which I actually skipped. So I don't even know how it ended

By the way Venomous Smiles, from what I have seen, has the same problem as Rebirth - too much smalltalk about nothing.

they started work for vampire capo di tutti capo and mc became assassin while his teacher became underboss and that blonde became some sort of secretary.

slow build up. besides their boss is missing.

Rebirth fumbled the writing soo badly after the old man(Zephyr's #1 Fan) disappeared. I do miss him and his infectious love for the lore and game.

Still better than v5 VTM
