Is this really worth learning? Download it- it was an incomprehensible mess - rolled through everything until everything rolled through me.
It's not nearly as dificult as it looks,i myself am only a casual gamer and i was able to beat the game,while you do have to learn a liitle you only need to mini-max in harder difficultys in normal as long as have a little patience you can learn the game with trial and error
Sorry wrong thread,i though it was Venus Blood Frontier,though as long as this game isn't much diferent from his predessor what i said it's still valid

It really depends tbh. If the style of gameplay and messing around with divisions and battalions appeals to you at all, then learning how it all works can lead to spending a looooooot of time messing with things, trying things out and seeing what various things can beat the game's various challenges.
That said, with the game's Easy modes, you don't need to learn the game at all if all you want to do is enjoy the story and the H-scenes. Those modes come with I-win buttons, so you can basically just enjoy the whole thing like a VN and almost completely ignore the gameplay part.
It's definitely true that the game isn't friendly towards beginners at all, and figuring it all can take quite a bit of time of experimenting and/or searching and reading through bunches of posts through this thread.
Whether that's worth it or not depends entirely on you though.

Yes. The corruption process involves hypnosis to create mental gaps, so to speak, in the minds of the main girls. There's also some scenes for side-girls that go into outright mind-control. Of course, this is primarily Chaos Route stuff. Things are notably more tame for the Law Route.

Thanks. If you don't mind explaining, what kind of mental gaps, and what is in the Law Route? Is it a goody-two-shoes route or still corruption / moral degeneration?

The Law Route is "The Good Guy Route", basically. Law and Chaos are roughly "Good" and "Evil" in the Venus Blood setting(s). It's both a story split and it affects gameplay in some ways. (For example, Leon, the MC, has 3 commander forms, the default form, the Law Route "Awakened Leon" and the Chaos Route "Evil God Leon")
The main trigger that separates the routes is whether Silvia gets corrupted or not, but it is possible to corrupt the other girls, in theory, but I think only Julia has corrupt content in the Law route. Not sure what happens with the other girls. Either way, in the law route, there's no corruption or the like, which is kind of the point, I suppose. Aside from the initial rape and whatnot that most of the main heroines go through.
As for how the hypnosis is used... My favorite example is when Leon uses it on Julia to make her think that her wings are gone. In the setting, for her race, having or lacking wings affects their social status a great deal, so losing her wings would be about as bad as dying. He uses this to weaken her mental resistance and break her will. There's all sorts of things like this that build up into the girls becoming pleasure addicted monsters who'd even sacrifice their own people for Leon's goals or pleasure.

I wouldn't call Law a "goody-two-shoes route". Law is more of an anti-hero route, you can still do all the bad stuff, rape, corrupt girls, etc. Just not corrupting Sylvia as that puts you on Chaos as said by the other guy.
They are not related, kind of like Final Fantasy. So you can play in any order you want.
2 new afterdays (1 for Anora and 1 for Sylvia) and 1 new dark chronicle (Anora and Sylvia) have come out. Hope they get translated soon
