What would you like me to add to the game in the next update?

  • The connection (police) mechanic. This would be a new "currency" and a new batch of upgrades.

does anyone know how to remove the random client chance? its completely retarded to have 4 girls working and only 1 client show up for 45+ seconds. Why do these devs INSIST on adding the dumbest mechanics to an otherwise good game?

Hi. I can explain what's going on under the hood.

Part of the game is managing your club reputation. If your reputation is lower than the number of days you've been playing, then you're going to have a much harder time getting clients in. The rate of drop-off is designed to be highest at this critical point in a logistical curve.

So, the way to mitigate this is to make sure you only spend a lot of reputation when you know your club can handle the drop--when your reputation is capped, or when you're grabbing your first Crown Jewel in that mode. The Crown Jewel herself will get your reputation back up. Make sure you have a decent Advertiser deployed as well--this helps increase reputation gains.

I have tried clicking every button that's on the screen am I just missing something?
You're not in scramble mode, but in normal mode, so I can tell you exactly what's happening.

In the Discription.JSON for that girl. there is a place where their costs are predefined. Before you unlock the Mafia (happens after around 10-12 days) you won't see any girl that has Influence as a cost (that's the icon that looks like a criminal) but once you unlock the mafia, criminals start showing up and you can start to gather this resource. This opens those girls up, and then you'll stop seeing this message.

Is it ok to download it and start thinker with it? I honestly wanted to see if I could, and would like to extend on it if possible.

Also, have you stopped completely with this one or you still at it trying to improve?
I haven't got any ideas on what I'd want to do to improve it. Nothing that I'd think would be particularily fun or engaging in -this- game.

The only things I'd want to cook would be some very difficult QoL ideas that I have--moving the Assistant to a public directory and allowing Assistant Packs to be dev'd was something I had on the drawing board, but doing so is rough.

One problem with going forward is me being a dumb and not quite understanding lambda functions and how they work in C#, which is necessary for asynchronous operations. This matters in unity because loading images in Unity requires asyncs whereas activating the video player does not.

This kinda limits my ability to improve certain factors of the game. There's also some underlying code stuff I'd be eager to switch and refactor if I had the time--but refactoring code isn't 'sexy' and doesn't lead to much of a direct result to you guys so I never really got deep into it.

Then the workstation I was working on died--a minor setback.

But with all that said, if anyone wants to put their own spin/take on things, by ALL means, please do so.

The best part about Venus's Club, both the original and the Happy Hour, wasn't Tobe or me working on it, it's always been you guys, your input, your suggestions (both the ones taken and the ones not), and most importantly, your girlpacks. I've yet to see any game on here that has anywhere near the amount of user content of the quality and breadth as you guys have done for VC and it's set a high bar for other games.

So thank you, and everyone else, for what you have done, what you've cooked, and for your future work on this game.

In other words, lay off the brokers until your club is at 100 rep.

You think? I generally use them fairly early on, but then have a period after that, usually when one of the investors demands a lot of rep, that I let it grow over 50, then use them for a while, then let it grow up to 100 eventually. But I take everything else very, very slowly, and usually stick with about six girls hired until at least I have the oral level unlocked. Certainly well more than 50 days in.

Any way to modify some of the default videos? In particular, the video that shows when a girlpack doesn't have any threesome videos is a pixelated, ugly DP scene that I'd rather not constantly see

So, my perspective is from playing it a LOT--I've put a ton of hours into playing it, so most of my understanding of the game (informing my decisions I'd made) is from my play-standpoint.

Generally I'd start by going for a 3-shift rotation based on how many booths I have at the time, aiming for 6, then 9, then 12, then 15, and finally 18, plus extras as needed for the back stage.

Only having six means you're getting stamina issues, you're probably not fielding a solid backstage Advertiser that's pushing your reputation gains up. Costs in scramble mode were built around that loop, and in normal mode, well, you can personalize costs there, so keeping in that field should be good.

With respect to the brokers, my usual playpattern was getting the first free one, letting her work, then putting in another, and so on. The cost of brokers are reduced by how many open slots you have, so one way to manage this cost is not to have a constant churn until you're drawing more than 25 per turn.

Yeah, I start really slowly. Two girls with two booths to start, then eventually a third and fourth, staying with two booths. Play at that level for weeks in game. (sandard, not scramble). Eventually go through the early stuff with Nicole, add her as the 5th girl, along with the other aspects that come along with completing her story. Then eventually when I've got all the basics covered, I buy the third booth, and see where I need to be from a staffing standpoint from then on. I don't usually fill the admin jobs until the girls are pretty highly skilled and will be at about 150% at them.

Wow, that's a valuable piece of info. Funnily enough, as I'm playing the game aiming for speed, I haven't encountered problems with the over-use of Brokers - my record of unlocking the Final Club is 28 days, and now I will know that I can keep my rep pretty low. In that playstyle, I find bonuses from Brokers, though random, to be absolutely critical, especially if backed with relevant investor traits.

I actually use brokers differently than "wait until rep 100". If I have more than four times the rep required by the broker, I take the broker job. Given this new information, I might up that to 5x.
