It is the case, people realize they don't make enough money, so they just quit. Others get banned from Patreon as well and don't make enough money at other platforms. So, no, it was not a nice try, it is the reason, people have real life jobs (and other responsibilities some started new jobs, started a family, couple dev's got married and didn't want their spouse know what they were doing, graduated college, and so on) and can't devote the time needed to the game. It's been said was the reason on so many of them, along with not making enough money, so they had no motivation to keep going. Sort of like real life eh? You don't like the job, so you quit, or you don't make enough money, so you quit

And, ofc, people die, get arrested, etc.

Because that's the point of the fucktoy route, it's a route where she's forced to become a slut rapidly. It's up to the player to choose who he sees Lily as. The player chooses who he sees Lily as. The player can leave Grimwood at the beginning of the game, can go pure or can collect all the slut points and choose the fucktoy one.

In short, she is destined to become a bicycle. The only way to avoid that is to not enter that red house and call your parents to come pick you up. Otherwise, you only get to decide if she will be a town bicycle by choice or by force.

Seems I'm mistaken. She will have a pure route as well apparently. Refer to dev clarification here.

Oh wow, I always presumed that Lily's path is set to be corrupted no matter what after reading the story description. Had no idea that she'd actually have the option of a pure branch as well. Considering how everyone is out to get her, it seemed like a long shot too. Thanks. Amended my statement.

It might still be a long shot. We don't know what degree of difficulty Eromantis will put on it. Does pure mean virgin or innocent? Lily might have to trade off innocence in order to maintain her virginity.

For instance leading on the rich guy in order for him to make sure the police ~~don't railroad her into being the squad's whore~~ find her parents, but then dumping him and escaping town before she has to give him her v-card. Sure, she stays "pure", but using her physical appeal to manipulate a man into doing what she wants is not "innocent". Or lose her virginity yet remain innocent (e.g. accept rape / barely-consensual sex instead of captivity or debt).

Personally I hope it is hard to complete a pure route because of the sheer number of temptations that cause the player to make the non-pure choice. Or because Grimwood's influence makes Lily really reluctant to decline opportunities to enjoy her body.

Personally I find the Pure route just as easy to play as a Slut route. Because I find it enjoyable to play a path that goes against the core concept of a game. Also I kind of like the idea of keeping Lilly Naive and innocent to the point where she doesn't break out of her shell any.

I mean this is a slow burn corruption game so if that was the only path I could understand where he is coming from but since it's 1 of 2 corruption paths for now kind of a non issue . Since it seems this dev is adding different types of corruption paths for different taste. I even play a pure path . Tho right now id say the fucktoy path is my least favorite cause how quick stuff happens but I still like it for what it is. From what the dev said a few post up looking like the nympho is going to be my favorite.

Those who want to or can financially support devs, please wait until the dev has released an update that is worth while because if you continue to just blindly give them money regardless of if they put out good content why would they.

You can try supporting games on Kickstarter, they have policy all or nothing which means if the game is funded good, but if not the money is returned. I too prefer to buy completed games and about supporting on Patreon, people can cancel pledge. It's just simple as that, but ofc they don't do that and complain how Devs are milkers even if it's true. People decide to whom they will donate or not.
