You have to understand F95 is not the place to complain about people sharing or leaking the game.
Yes, it is a somewhat low thing to do, no argument there.
But that's how I (and many others if not 90% of the people on this site) got to play and enjoy many games that I later in life went to support.
Not everyone has a thick skin and can take criticism, and most of what's on F95 isn't constructive enough for any dev to bother themselves with it.
But to see one taking criticism without a grain of salt, they diggest that shit like it's their breakfast. You may behave like that because the game is getting shared and passed around and that's understandable but not justifiably so.

Sure hope you'd rethink that. F95 has a lot of people like this, true, but there's another side of this - you don't need to respect any of them either, and answering to them or considering their opinion is optional. A bit weird to see you pay people that, for example, say that piracy is good and you should be thankful, so much attention in the first place.
Moreover, controlled thread on this site is much better than leaving it up to people. If you leave you just let them do as they please. Not that i insist or anything, but still.
I've seen what happens to devs who are slaves to their public perception. Nobody digests that shit like it's nothing; they just make you think they do while they're annoyed as fuck behind closed doors. There's a reason the AAA industry is overwhelmingly silent, for example.
You're part of the problem for expecting anything else, regardless of your own stance on the game.
People who are inconsiderate with their feedback deserve to be attacked as they are a plague upon devs in general.
Supporting the game is also not justification for anything. There are countless who are supporting as well and *are* constructive instead of insulting.
Primarily sick of the industry perception of it. You haven't had the dozens upon dozens of personal conversations I've had with people that genuinely think this; and I do mean on the dev side, without even having looked into if it was true. In fact, I've convinced myself of this in the past even having the data indicating otherwise.
I changed my mind on leaving but I will no longer be providing any support. If anything I remain purely to elaborate on what this site does to people. I expect the thread will be taken out of my hands as a result.

I mean I can understand where you are coming from (by the way don't know what you mean "like you", I've never downloaded your game because its not my type of game, I just thought it was a unique concept worth checking up on). If I was in your situation I wouldn't necessarily like people pirating my game but I'd come to terms with the fact I'm making 25k a month off a game that lets be honest is nothing crazy, so combating pirates would not be a concern for me. Just making it worse by trying to crusade against it because people are tism'd, because you are making such a big deal out of it they will just make it their life's mission to spread the game to piss you off (which is already happening by the way). The only true way to combat pirates is by having your game so unpopular that people don't care to go through the effort of pirating it and clearly that isn't your scenario. Trying to do a good thing here and save you from wasting time and money.

What you said goes for pretty much all adult games; almost none of us are popular enough for upload links to always be up immediately. The latest builds aren't even on here right now.
The more downtime for uploaded builds, the more revenue made. That is simply how it works and what the data behind the scenes shows.
That will remain the case, and it's why anyone fights against piracy, not because they think they'll prevent it entirely.
This subset of the industry in particular has a real fucking problem with normalizing piracy and devaluing their own games. That is a personal, non financial problem I have with this place; while I'd earn more just staying silent and not riling people like Iaduna up to mass-upload my shit, I can afford that downside to rant at people who believe any of this is ok.
The kind of complete bullshit you're writing here is even more nefarious than any piracy; I'd know because again, I convinced myself this place was worth supporting for far, far too long.

come on guys we're lucky succudev has tolerated piracy this long and even took suggestions from here... I think its a great game (discovered it on here and following for a long time) and I'm hoping to be able to buy it when it's actually on sale. developing this game isn't an easy task especially when you have coomers having a giga meltdown on a public forum. show some respect man... after all how many times did you cum to his game lol.
