Looking for a Renpy VN made with Honey Select characters and the one thing I remember (other than it takes place in a school of some description) is that there is a girl (I believe she had white hair) who left Russia to hunt ghosts because her mother was a ghost-hunter herself and at the one point you help her the game turns into a Myst-type game of sorts where you bimble around an abandoned prison (sanatorium?) looking for items. It's a really well pulled off horror segment too. I also recall there's a whole thing where you have to camp overnight and it rains or something. The game has relatively high production values so it's probably pretty popular, I reckon.
