My Twitter account is effectively dead so there's no point in posting there and nothing to lose, then the TOS change made me just start blurring and eventually stop posting. You can find my free stuff on BSKY and on Rule34, I upload there now. Although I haven't uploaded in a while till yesterday cause BSKY is dead too, about as dead as my hopes and dreams, so really the only safe bet is Rule34

However I came here to ask whoever has the power to change those old ass images in the top of the thread, they are hurting my soul! Add something newer and better ffs
You could also add the bsky account cause of my Twitter situation. Seems I can't post a link. Oh it's posted right above my reply, I missed it

You can find my free stuff on BSKY and on Rule34, I upload there now. The other 800+ artists don't care cause there's a point for them to post on Twitter. Their posts get views. My last animation on Twitter has 6K views and 11k views non futa. There's really no point in me posting there. I get more views on rule34video and for images, while I can't see r34 posts views I'm pretty sure it's more than twitter based on likes. I might as well go to my town's square and hold up the images in my hands, I'll get more views that way than posting on Twitter.

Maybe most importantly, I have a personal issue with the way art works on Twitter. I don't want to be a part of that bullshit. On BSKY there's at least a little bit of that sweet sweet algorithm involved.

As for my reasons, you'll have to compare the images from before June/July 2024 and after for the full picture. From what I saw back when I noticed this, the newer posts were getting a fraction of the usual impressions. It's pretty insane, I could consider myself lucky to reach even 50% of the impressions I averaged before. The details might be hazy but it's definitely bad. Oh yeah, I also hit a plateau on followers for some reason. Overall, I got no reasons to post on Twitter. It's a garbage platform for posting art. It feels like more of a circlejerking platform instead

Yes, it's called shadowban, mostly cuz of the links, not porn. And it's easily avoidable by messing around in settings, I'm pretty sure, better ask other artists tho. But most of the times, ones account is shadowbanned, you might as well make a new one.

Sure, that's one possibility, but another one is that the Twitter algorithm changed in June or July, and now prevents NSFW from showing up naturally in the feed. I think it's this because every artist I checked has a dip in impressions at the same time and I checked dozens. So now, the only way your NSFW posts get seen is if other larger creators retweet them. I'm leaning towards this one cause I was thinking and trying to figure out for quite a while where it went to shit, because after all this is pretty much my business.

Btw I would absolutely think that your theory is right, but like I said, I checked multiple dozens of artists, including the largest animator accounts like Hydra. Iirc Hydra had like a 50% ish dip in views.
