The very distant cousin of another masterpiece. Or not? Haha, Japan and their virtual reality
N.U.D.E
I've played NUDE...on OG Xbox. You get a robot girl (somehow, I forget), staying in your apartment with you, and you have to teach her stuff, like the names of things around the house.....by speaking Japanese to her!

It used the Xbox Live mic. There's a FAQ on Gamefaqs with the Japanese words in it, so you get to learn a bunch of Japanese words in the process! I'll never forget hana/hanabi (plant and flower, or maybe the other way around).

I never finished it and it wasn't exactly suggestive that there might be saucyness (being xbox and all!) but I remember it being really fun and the girl being cute. I wonder if anyone has it running on emulator?

Reminded me of Seaman, the Dreamcast game where you talk with the DC mic, to a fish with the face of a Japanese man, in a game narrated by Leonard Nimoy!

Life is crazy.

Edit: I found the wiki article, just now:

and the trailer:

and some game stuff:

Yes l am aware. You can learn basic Japanese using the guide but Xemu doesn't have the capability for now, unlike PS2 where you can play Lifeline.
N.U.D.E may not have deep gameplay but what it did, it is something else
As for voice controlled games here, l doubt they have any here.
N.U.D.E does have the best acronym system in the entire history and a very impressive soundtrack.
Learning japanese at the same time with the robot, immersion!

I really like to play this game, can someone please help? or will any other repack work?

Edit: it apears it's a driver problem:

Edit 2: for anyone having a problem I just solved it by setting OPENSSL_ia32cap to ~0x20000000 in the System Environment Variables to account for the intel bug that causes games to crash on startup, here is the steps also:

  • Open System Properties:
    • Press WinKey + R to open the Run dialog box.
    • Type SystemPropertiesAdvanced and press Enter.
  • Access Environment Variables:
    • In the System Properties window, click on the "Environment Variables..." button near the bottom.
  • Create a New System Variable:
    • In the System variables section (the lower half of the window), click on the "New..." button.
    • For Variable name, enter: OPENSSL_ia32cap
    • For Variable value, enter: ~0x20000000
    • Click OK to save the new variable.
  • Apply and Restart:
    • Click OK to close the Environment Variables window.
    • Click OK again to close the System Properties window.
    • Restart your computer to apply the changes.
credits goes to Armageddon telegram admins, after roasting and insulting me they finally gave this answer which actually worked :)

The new game is going to be released at late April due to approval issues due to Steam not yet approving. It's frustrating but at least they'll use the opportunity to smoothen things up.
