Gotta say, the content of this update really surprised me.

One of the big issues with Netorase games is finding that perfect balance in the power dynamic without creating a war among your own fanbase. I've seen several game threads devolve into madness because an NTS relationship included some humiliation play or a perceived submissiveness in the MC as a result of dominant behavior from either the wife or her lovers. Even if the MC specifically requests humiliation, people still argue that he's being cucked or whatever, despite it being clear that the MC is in complete control.

What was great about this update is it subverted expectations most players have of the traditional "alpha/beta" relationship. Geist comes in, super jacked and with a tough guy persona, and it seems as though he's going to speak down to MC and force him into a submissive beta role. Instead, MC gets what he wants out of Geist and when he feels disrespected, he shuts Geist down and emasculates him, drawing a clear boundary and asserting himself as the one truly in control of the situation. I think it's a great touch that Ammie overhears this as the game continues to underscore the strength of their bond over and over.

I also think it's interesting that, when choosing the humiliation route, there is a huge disclaimer that needs to spell out the concept of humiliation being MC's request and that despite the language she doesn't actually mean it and only cares about him while he is in complete control because that language is only happening because he wanted it, and if he didn't it would stop. Crazy thing is, it's not even Ammie saying this where you could question whether she's being truthful, it's the literal author explicitly saying it in a 4th wall break. I don't know how you can make it any more clear.

I have played plenty of Netorase games and I don't think many have gone this far to make it blatantly obvious that the characters are playing into the kink and not in danger of breaking up or getting NTR'd. I feel like if you're signing up for an NTS game with all of these giant, obvious signs and you somehow still feel like it's NTR, then you're probably projecting really hard and dealing with a level of insecurity that would likely make it unhealthy for you to play any of these games in the first place.

All in all, this game has been a really pleasant surprise. I'm shocked this thread doesn't have more traction, but I expect that will change as people continue to stumble upon this gem.

This ^.
Geist's character had been built up since earlier, he is loyal enough to help her escape and without leaking words back to family. His loyalty is not to be questioned, his hostility towards MC was simply built on lack of understanding to the kink or fetish. As for MC is not the usual spineless cuck which in time Geist will came to respect them.

I'm not saying the writing is the best of all NTRS games out there but this is something else, the power balance here isn't built on the alpha chad muscle or horse-sized cock. I'm really surprised how the fingering scene triggers "OMFG HARD NTR" cries, but seriously what kind of game is this? He is not being invited home to play some board games or dungeons and dragons with them LMAO.

If this extent could trigger the player's insecurities to scream NTR, a word of advice: Stay away from all games when they are being tagged ntrs/sharing/hotwife/cuckold/swinging since you clearly cannot make sense of the kink. I have seen people screaming ntr in a "swinging focused" game, it kills my brain cells for trying to read them.

Hard NTR? There's a game named "Turning the page", try playing the update from few days ago where MC finds his wife fucks her student in their bed. Then the wife takes off her engagement ring and throw it back to MC when she receives unprotected creampie.

For a long time, I have been suspecting half of f95 users are illiterate. Now I'm convinced that is 100% true! Shocking, right? But unfortunately, it's true. Let me quote this from Beyond Redemption to describe those people:

The f95 users were broken by wars and plagues of the mind, left reeling like the most bloodied veterans. Infected with horror at the cost of their actions, they retreated into dementia. Insanity as escape. Seeking to free themselves, they fled to a world of delusion, a world uncorrupted by jealousies and psychoses. And yet, in the end, even this they would pollute. So deep was their need, so desperate their flight from their bitter past, that they ignored the one truism all must bow before.
For the life of me, I don't know how people read this 0.05 update and thought the male lead is beta lmao. The male lead is no way being a beta with how he confidently professing his love for Amelia and more importantly, his trust in her.

Also, the writing is nothing groundbreaking but very well done. I feel like this need not to be said out loud and is very obvious, but in this update, the writer put the MC down first by letting us know his internal struggle, then have Geist showing his alpha attitude and fingering skills. But in the end, show the reader how MC is not like those typical weak netorare protags.

This clearly is basic writing structure, no?

i really liked the update before this one - the stranger groping her was amazing. not sure i like the cuck part of this update. he likes to see his wife with others - he doesn't want to lose her. i'm not sensing cuck fantasies as opposed to hotwife fantasies. I just think it might have been better to go down other routes.

Yes 0.5 is controversial to say the least. With sycophants writing essays defending it. That said, 0.6 is poised to be much more agreeable to everyone since it'll be a beach update with more of her public beauty rather than private stealing.

Very much agree that people don't like Geist because of his hostility but that's really understandable until dev makes him respect their wish and understand their kinks. But don't you think referring that mild fingering scene as any form of "stealing" sound too much like a joke given the game is clearly stating the wife will never be stolen?

I was expecting people to say slow build-up rather than screaming "omg NTR". Having MC to pitch against him was nicely done not like he is accepting everything shit that Geist threw at him.

Yeah, it wasn't "stealing" at all, if anything Geist was the one who got humiliated. Even after the stuff he did with her, she was thinking about the MC and calling his name at the end (on non-cuck path anyways). People on this forum are just weirdos with weird complexes, moral compasses, or hypocrisies, and I just tend to ignore them most of the time.

Anyways, I played 0.4 and 0.5 together since I waited for 0.5 before playing 0.4. Both were really really good.

I liked the update too. I chose the more hardcore humiliation option and I'm looking forward to seeing how that plays out.

I mean people can definitely dislike Geist with how he acts in the update but it's not hard to see dev put him down after the speech at the end. The point of this writing was putting Geist into someone who has zero understanding in the wife-sharing kink and yes he's obviously dumb duh. And don't forget he had no positive feelings at all toward MC because MC is the reason the mafia princess has the run away from the family. His hostility came from his absolute loyalty towards her, just how on earth do people think he has the balls to "steal" who he serves.

Especially because of that i really like that the MC stands his ground and goes head on Geist. We don't play (atleast for now) a wimp, who is super beta and 'scared' once someone bigger/stronger shows up, but someone who set boundaries and fight for himself and his wife... (which is IMHO most likely the most healthy way to have a NTS relationship, when you set rules and boundaries and being firm about it) which i honestly really like.

Am I playing the same game as you guys? What you call standing up for himself I call having a spergout at the end, he certainly didn't come off as empowered. Just look at the emote image attributes without even playing - with no additional dialogue context there's no way he'd be mistaken for a Chad of a character...

Building on this, unlike many here I don't necessarily think mr ghost is the problem, he comes off as a jerk, sure, but it's amplified by the mc acting like a wet noodle.

The way I'd EXPECT him to act when confronted with a personality like mr ghost is immediately lay down boundaries, instead we get a lot of this look during the meetup:

However, I wouldn't call it an ntr game like some dissenters have. To me it's just an ntrs game with a wet noodle of an mc, something I personally dislike.
The point of NTRS is that the husband is an actual presence, and not just someone overshadowed by "The Alpha"
Also the Man-Bun is so silly :ROFLMAO:
I'm still too hung up on the name to think about the bun. "Hi Geist...." sounds like some contestant on that old vh1 show 'the pickup artist'. "Hi I'm Mystery.".... "Hi I'm Blade...." "Lazer"..."Blazer"...

That's why the author should've actually used that other design of his for mc...

a wet noodle.
I think it was reasonable to be a wet noodle. This isn't a battle hardened cuck/stag/whatever it's a dude still taking his first steps in this, and he was having severe cold feet about the whole thing. That's the kind of attitude you'd expect from a man used to dogging or something of the sort, not a guy trying this for the first time.

All three of them were amateurs at this, I felt it was fine. Besides, find me consistent examples of NTRase MC's belittling the "chad" archetype characters.

He's exactly that wet noodle in Amelia's presence, you might prefer it if dev moved the speech right after Geist made his threats and not after everything is done. When Geist threaten to ruin his marriage he wanted get back to him but once Amelia shows up he immediately shrunk down and changed topic, up until Amelia went back to the room. So... there you go,I have no comments on why he has to be that passive everytime whenever in her presence.

The dom/sub stats only matter a little to the dialogue variations rather than being different routes. Just imagine the dom route having MC puts Geist right in his place when he talk shit and having Amelia clueless to their exchange instead of having her to show up and interrupt them. And the current of what we had fit into the sub route .
