I also have nothing against it, when done in moderation, and am all for it building up the relationship to make the cucking to come after even spicier. If Amelia was completely deadpan with Brandon it would still be netorase. Extremely boring but still netorase. You would have easier time if you didn't treat personal preferences as requirement for the genre. It's not like there is shortage of the type of netorase you enjoy.
