IDK if this is a hot take I'd take like 4 or 5 more cgs over some doo door fart animations I'll be honest that animation we got was buns
They could have at least added a few moaning sounds instead this animation just felt meh who asked for this anyway?

Just stop lying to yourself, show me a much better 2d animation than this in this site. It was pretty smooth and does elevate the experience if you have not seen the cg before as I played that scene when animation was already there.
100% agree with a moaning sound though, the sound effects are severely lacking and I consider them to be more important than animation anyday.

The animation wasn’t bad at all. It was actually decent.
However I would prefer if it stayed to special occasions.
Sax posted that this update will be pretty huge in terms of plot and content. So it’s going to be split into 2 parts. With part 2 being released 2 weeks after part 1.

Such a waste animating fantasy scene. Brandon bathroom scene would have been better candidate to be animated.

Completely agree, that was my opinion with the animation too. With art this good, I much prefer more CGs than spending lot more time and resources animating. This could've been done at the end, going back and animating some special scenes
Honestly as a former dev, I'd save the animations for the end of the project like the Dystopian project did. Essentially wait to redo the animations / cgs and keep them for later so you can basically pump out content as quickly as possible without animations plugging up the workflow pipeline.

The animator is an external part, animating wouldn't necessarily take much more time save for the fact that the art has to be finished before the animation begins. If the author has the scene in mind already, the art can be worked on while Saxo works on the game/story. And if neither of these, I don't think animations would delay a release more than 5-7 days. The reason while it took so long last time was that the first animator ghosted the team and they had to find a new one, as far as I understood it. As long as it's done when budget allows at intervals that Saxo has stated, it should be fine, imo.

Since Saxo doesn't make his presence known here, I'll answer for him: the animation has been on the goalpost since last year, when the game was still very new. As for other things, Amelia's parents and the mafia were only just introduced two updates ago. Saying he is lost is just wild. This game is a WIP on update 0.16 and god knows how many more there will be but we haven't even hit 0.2. Some of you guys just need patience. I'd recommend checking games out with the [completed] tag if you expect stories that are finished.

software doesn't use decimals, it uses semantic versioning. 0.14 is 12 updates past 0.2
