The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs...
(02/18/2018 - Original Review - v0.2.1)
Right out the gate the title is a bit misleading, because the definition of Waifu is the polar opposite of harem, since it usually revolves around one woman who is usually a love interest and/or significant other, that the protagonist is attracted to... Whereas this whole visual novel/game has nothing to do with that, as it is either planning to be harem focused and/or is about sexual revenge and erotic behavior with many different women... In any case, it also will include the over used Family Sex stuff...
The visuals of the characters are done in Honey Select, and look very hentai inspired, of average quality... The backdrops look somewhat unique but are about the same quality as the characters... The animations are short but decent, as typical Honey Select animations usually are...
The script is not bad with the occasional spelling/grammar error, and a tiny few occasions of broken English... The plot revolves around a male protagonist student who has returned to live with his biological mother and his step-sister after being away from his mother for over 16 years... She left him and his father due to some allegations of improper behavior at a school he owned and ran, leaving her 2 year old son behind for another life... The protagonist has returned as a favor to his mothers new husband, but in reality he is there to take revenge on his mother, her family, everyone at the school, and the entire town that ruined his life and the life of his father, who died 3 years earlier...
The whole story plays out in visual novel form, with the occasional choice to be made... There are a few player punishment dead ends, if you choose to go overboard too soon with certain characters... You can definitely tell the protagonist is out for revenge while he goes to school and lives his life, and there are a ton of characters introduced...
There is just so much going on, and so many things the protagonist plans to do, it can feel a bit overwhelming keeping up with the main plot along with the dozen other sub-plots that begin to introduce themselves, as the story progresses... And even though the overall story progresses at a somewhat steady pace, there is just a lot of details to remember, as the story moves from here to there to here to somewhere else... It's not a complete mess, but it just has the occasional turn and twist, that in some cases can feel a tiny bit scatter brained... It's a very unique and creative over all story plot, that sometimes goes a slight bit dark, but I just think it needs to slow down slightly on presenting too many sub-plots before they matter much in the story telling...
Overall, this isn't a bad visual novel/game, but it isn't perfect either... It's sort of middle ground, with a lot going on, perhaps sometimes too much going on... It loses focus now and then, but at least it isn't a horrible mess in any way... Will I revisit this VN/Game? Yeah, I'll definitely revisit it at some point...
(03/10/2018 - Review Update - v0.2.8)
Decent amount of content in this update... The story and all that is going on, just keeps getting more and more complicated... The new content is pretty good and makes sense, but I just hope that the developers can keep up with this very complex web of sub-plots and revenge targets, plot twists, and so forth... Because there just seems to be a huge amount of things going on with the protagonist plans, sub-stories evolving in the background, and so forth... Perhaps some of it is just filler and will never see the light of day, or all of it will be a part of the complicated weave... Guess we'll need to wait and see...
In any case, the new content focused more on the girl at the end of the last version (the school reporter) as well as the step-sister... Both of which seem to be falling for or have already completely fallen for the protagonist... The school reporter, even though she's lusting after the protagonist, she also seems to be putting some clues together, but there is no telling yet if that is good or bad news for the protagonist and his plans...
Overall, the new content looks fairly decent, with only a couple spelling/grammar errors as well as more animations... The story is scooting along... I will most likely wait several more revision releases before checking back on it again... This update had a good amount of content, but the story plot didn't move too far, so I'ld rather wait till I can experience much more before revisiting again...
