VN - Ren'Py - Waifu Academy [v0.13.0] [Irphaeus]

First off, this is one of the best games EVER. There are a lot of good things going, but there are a few things that could be improved on. (This review is for update 0.6.4)

TLDR: I'd give this game a 9/10

PROS
1. The writing is absolutely great. I find myself laughing out loud every update because it's absolutely hilarious. If you like meme's you'll love this game.

2. There are so many girls, and they are all hot with unique personalities and their own story lines. So far each update has explored the background of a different character, and you'll quickly find yourself looking forward to the next update to find out more.

CONS
1. MC is a generic dude seen in many games. Not that important honestly, since all the female characters are unique.

2. Minor typos can be found throughout the game. The creator has stated that English is not his primary language, so it is expected. They will probably be fixed before final release.

3. So far the story line has been very linear, taking a day by day approach with no free roam. I guess that's kind of like the original VN style, but even then I haven't really noticed if there are different "paths" to explore. It's more like picking choices that may or may not lead to a scene. There is a karma system built into the game, but it doesn't seem to have a big impact on content in the current update (0.6.4)

All in all, a great game. Each update has brought tons of new content to explore, which is pretty amazing for an author that has been working alone.

Good game. It has an unusual plot; revenge, and a certain logic to unraveling the mystery and getting revenge. However, I am getting a bit lost in the side excursions with all the nice girls he meets along the way. The renders are as good as they can be with these models. The scenery is very well-done.

Witty, creative, fun, sexy, compelling.... Waifu Academy swiftly became one of my all-time favorites. I am so eager for the next update, every time! The story, the characters, the wacky sex and the sexy sex are all awesome.

Simply one of the best games on the site.

I don't usually care about the story in porn media I consume but this one is actually worth following since it doesn't take itself to seriously and doesn't try and get in the way of the important stuff (the lewds).

The models are fantastic with a wide range of variance which just makes each girl more enticing. The animation similarly is very good.

For anyone who enjoys harem and corruption content, this is a must try.

Awesome, seamless story progression and packs quite a dark emotional load! The pace of the action is well balanced, allowing to really feel the tension of the genius main character, hell bent on having his revenge as fast and as thorough as possible.

Finally a well-done Honey Select rendered game that isn't a total grind. Just a joy to play through with a story that actually makes you care about the characters. I must say that adds to the fapping experience and one scene in particular with multiple characters was one of the most engagingly erotic scenes that this jaded fapper has experienced in years. Give it a go...you won't be sorry!

I was dodging this game for a while for several reasons.
I dislike anime style 3D art and seeing so many characters in the preview picture made me think that they wouldn't have backstories at all and the game would be mindless fucking of similar characters with no personalities.

But I was in for a surprise. I'd say the art is even good. All the characters have different stories, they are not mindless bimbos.
There is good amount of sex at every stage of the game. Some girls come easy by themselves, some need more work and come later, some girls aren't available for sex at all. But the pacing, story and sex is good.

The only drawback to this game would be the weird horror nightmares which are a total turn-off. But this isn't reason enough to rate this game lower than 5 stars.

The story is great, its quite unique, the humors, events, occurrences and the scenes are very well written. The graphics are excellent to the point that it puts most other HS games to shame. The characters are also very well written, their appearances suits their personalities very well. Gameplay wise it's quite simple and easy.

Pro: Great models both in selection and style, Interesting story, Good pace, Top notch animated scenes.

Con: Not much in the way of branching decisions, Some small typos, Very rarely an incorrect name on dialogue. Some jokes seem sort of out of date already (but that's ok).

I love everything about this game; artwork is top notch, humor is there, a good mystery and awesome fantasy scenes. I'm really looking forward to an update. Keep up the good work man. I can see myself as a Patreon supporter if the next update is as good.

WAIFU ACADEMY IS 5/5 PERFECT!

Pros:
Story is interesting.
Pacing is excellent.
Renders and animations are great.
Characters are extremely unique.
Humor is actually funny.
Cons:
Game could use more fetishes.
Lack of repeatable events and player freedom of movement.

Story is captivating and believable. Not everything goes according to plan which spices things up and keeps you in suspense over what happens next. If player chooses to play MC as corrupt and evil there is actually a good enough reason to do so due to MC's past.

Characters feel unique due to genius writing, each one plays their role in a story and blend in amazingly with each other. Even male characters have a personality and not just generic X, Y and Zs.

Humor is probably my favorite part, so many pop culture references and not just from MC, but others characters which only add to uniqueness.

Sex scenes are great, but unfortunately there is no way of repeating them unless you save prior to an event.

The best main character I have seen so far. The story is great as well with lots of good characters. Sound effects are cool as well. It would be great if we could have a few minigames and go into other's houses and different rooms at will. BT deserve five star anyway.

Yes, an excellent game. The dev says his English isn't native, but I find his English more native than educated natives. On top of that, the humor is amongst some of the best fapping games. The story is NOT linear and boring like many games. Clearly the dev actually tried to write something worthy. I rather like the use of Honey Select in CGI graphics, especially fapping games. I'm not being overly generous by giving Waifu Academy 5/5 stars. It's worth every star.

Amazing game ! Great art, great story .
No bugs whatsoever. The characters have different personalities and almost no one stay in the shadows. All of them are endearing.
I am not a fond of 3D games in general, but how could I not love this game, which is a purel jewel

- This is my first ever review so bear with me.

- Waifu Academy is a great game with linear choices but the story is not bland but instead exciting and pulls you in. While not forgetting what this game is meant for which is to stimulate your sex organs which it has plenty of and does so easily.

- The variety of waifus in this game is unbelievable and I wouldn't be surprised if they add even more to the list.

- Last couple of points there is a karma system but you do not get to fully see the positive or negative effects of the karma system probably until the completion of the game.

- Overall best game I tried so far that it made me want to write a review for the first time.

It's pretty clear through the score but i'll say it anyway : this game is one of the best in development and available here if not the best actually.

Great CG, situations, a lot of girls, great pace (fast for some girls, some harder to get), no grind and various fetish.

I've said it all.

A great quality game: great graphics, enjoyable animations, intense and interesting dialogue, and intriguing plot. All of the effort of the devs is well shown. I'll say that some of leaps of logic to get the MC into certain situations are a bit stretched such as the first time Sheila comes into MCs room, but otherwise things progress at a relatively natural pace, given the very nature of this kind of game.

I've always been one to be happy watching a game grow, getting excited for new updates, imagining how the story will develop, what growth the characters will see.
Some of the Games i've watched turned out good, some mediocre, a couple got abandoned.
So, i've also seen my share of Hype Trains, so i'm not usually one to join them early on, since i've seen enough of them getting derailed hard.

Boy, i'm on board for this one, tho.
What sets this game apart from others aren't the well done character models, it isn't the japanese school setting we've come across so many times.
It's the characters and how they act on one side, having their own problems, weird oddities, even if they sometimes fall for comedy's sake into common clichés. Thankfully, this is mostly true for a couple characters you can try your best to ignore. I kind of did.
On the other side is the MC.
There aren't a lot of games which feature a MC with actual personality, goals that aren't lewd at first glance, as well as understandable thoughts and sound plans.
And he's not perfect either.
He's trying his hardest to cope with Nightmares, past humiliations and lack of allies - which he is trying to fix as best as he can, step by step.
Which makes him so much more believable than 95% of MC's i played across a number of games.

So, this is why i consider this the most exciting game around, at the moment.

TL;DR:
Character models are well done, story is good, characters (espcially the MC) are really great.
10/10.
