Pretty sure there's an option to just have all stap-ons. I don't remember where it is but I swear I've seen it.

try this

I found some textures that were too big, I'm reducing them in size so that should fix the problem, meanwhile you can try to put the game in dx11
make a shortcut to the .exe
then in properties add -dx11 to run the game on dx11

Did you try lowering the resolution and closing other programs you have open?

yup resolution was set to very low fps was also set to 30, every app except the game was closed, still crashed and did that error

16gb ram, 512gb ssd, intel evo i5. I looked for driver updates (intel) and nothing all up to date.

I've been looking and I can't find a solution, it's strange that it doesn't come out since you have enough ram and a core i5 should be enough

that's really interesting, all I can say more is that the first time I loaded the game it worked, I then closed the game using the quit button, it since then has not opened and gives the exact same error, and every time that error happens it leaves my computer with a black screen I cannot close or remove in any way except restarting my computer, which then lets me use it again normally

Q: Does the problem happen with older builds and posted the results?
The itch.io page has several releases. It could be helpful to find out which build you started having problems with. Build X = OK; Build Y = OK, Build Z = kaboom.
Having those details will help folks find the diff/delta.

The tentacle scenes are amazing, maybe a suggestion, make a hive tentacle level with more poses, pregnancy and eggs, that would be badass. Would pay just to play that.
