Good to see I'm not the only one obsessed with the dance game, really feel like it could be improved further, maybe more dance animations or an option for higher difficulty/reward.
Downside to the dance game is that as it gets harder, the player has fewer chances to actually SEE her dance, as you're too busy looking at the button prompts to watch her. It's a pretty common issue with a lot of lewd games out there, the gameplay requiring full-attention while the fun parts are somewhere else, and looking at the fun stuff = loss.
For WDS:
Bandaid fix tweak ideas to improve the dance minigame without TOO much work:
A. At some point, you can hire cameramen to record you dancing. Not only can you rewatch the dance afterward (with/without the GUI), but you can also sell the videos as a temporary, passive buff to idle income based on how well you did and how long you danced for. (Downside, might have to be recorded at a lower res to avoid eating up the player's storage, or it only lets you watch it right after finishing the dance, after which it's deleted and can't be replayed.)
B. Move the arrow prompts and bar up a bit closer to your character. (If the dancing minigame was bigger or more complex, it might justify a GUI editor for the minigame, plus maybe an input delay setting?)
C. Change the arrow icons to something a bit more themed, like a silhouette (maybe simply animated?) of a woman with her hips to the left meaning left key, one with her to the right for the right key, crouched in a horny pose for down, and riding a stripper pole for up.
D. Bring the camera WAY in so the player has an easier time seeing the dance while playing the minigame. Might highlight how simple the animations are though.
Bigger options that aren't as easy:
A. Four girls on four platforms in a plus-shape on stage (maybe they're customizable? One is you.) A spotlight on a specific girl becomes your cue to hit the corresponding button (maybe with a growing circle under the next dancer's feet, when the circle matches the edges of the platform, you hit that button). While the minigame is slow and easy, it's just the spotlight changing with a mostly static camera, but as you progress the camera becomes a bit more dynamic, panning, zooming a bit, and the music becomes louder and faster to distract you as the audience gets louder too. (Difficulty setting: fewer/more girls? Less/more buttons to have to hit.)
B. Straight-up FNF inspiration, maybe your character points during the dance (or some other indicator, like a hip swing or something), a glint effect telling you when to hit that button. She points left, DING, hit left, that kind of thing. No arrows. The dances would probably have to be redone to make this work though.
C. Bring the camera WAY in so the player can see the dance better, but also improve the dances to make them better to look at up-close, or make them more seamless.
D. Mid/late-game unlock: hiring dancers to do the minigame for you. Customize them, make them do your job; they'd get a basic leveling system to make them better over time. You can watch them do their dances whenever you want.
Also, bug report: I noticed the player's outfit randomly shrinks and clips like crazy into the character's skin during some parts of the dances. I had her wearing a bunnysuit, I didn't remember to check if other outfits do that too.
