I'm not questioning Juna's love for the mc, that is obviously true. I'm saying that love and healthy love are different things. She can love him all she wants, but at the end of the day she still blindsided him and acted on her own "for his benefit" without telling him anything about it.

Plus, Juna is the one that knocks you out if you don't take the serum, and if you do, she doesn't mention this at all, instead manipulating you again as you wake up. In fact, if you're unaware that she was the one that knocked you out, you might think she was being held prisoner in the same place that you're brought to (which I think was their intent to make you think that).

Treason to me doesn't just mean that someone is an enemy, but that they won't respect the chain of command. Juna is supposed to serve under you, and yet she treats you as a child that can't have anything revealed to them, and keeps lying because she just "knows better". That is extremely disrespectful, infantilizing and degrading. I don't need this kind of person in my life.

But yes, you're obviously right that we all want to hear what they have to say.

It's a bit hard to speak long-term as I don't really know what's your end goal with the story (single ending, multiple endings, multiple endings based solely on girls romanced, or variations inside of each of those endings, variations based on the state of the world, idk), so I'll focus on what I presume will be the start of the next title:

I think those two are what I can think about that concern the start of the next title. Regarding the first game though, it's understandable if not a priority rn since you're working on the next one, but finishing the "fast-travel" (jump to the next event button) would be a really welcomed quality of life feature.

Again, thank you for such a good game! I feel like you wrote yourself into quite a situation (high expectation) by how engaging your story became, I'll be hoping for the best and would gladly help in talking if ever needed.

I don't know about long term, it will depend on a lot of things. I still don't know if MC was kidnapped, rescued or a bit of both or what any of the other characters or factions is up to. If Josie has MCs best intentions at heart - it would be good to bring back Ezra. If Ezra was a part of it and just followed after, or they brought Ezra later and explained the situation to her/their satisfaction and she/they come tell MC that then I'll accept it as a rescue. Other than Ezra, I want to get Cleo back before whatsisname gets any ideas. Everything else ... I really can't make suggestions or requests without knowing where you're going.

Think something like Katawa Shoujo, where you pick a girl's story and her story can be taken to its conclusion.

That IS the plan for the next part. But most people are right in assuming that this is a huge venture. If I plan on having 12 characters with their distinctive endings, that's potentially 12 unique storylines, almost 12 unique games. And that is the way I want it to go, but how would a release cycle like that even work? I could poll people to see which character's stories I release 'first' but I feel like that colors the stories of the rest of the cast in a negative way.

Unfortunately, I agree, it is a product of my decision to have so many families and relevant side characters. But it's the story I want to see, so it's hard to cut back. Anyways. Don't worry about all that. I'm sure I will come up with a compromise.

As for how the next part will start, we're going to be answering a lot of questions from the get go. It will feel like maybe the MC knows something others don't for once, giving our MC much more agency in his decisions. I'm trying to implement systems that will efficiently give choices a sense of impact even if the storyline might be pulling the player along. That kind of foundational code will be very helpful later.

And do the players actually want to retrieve all of them. Presumably this story also has some bearing on the kingdom and tribe as a whole which is difficult to do if you only do one girls story at a time, because you would presumably run into others. Anyway... I wish you luck.

I think it may be less that the players feel each girl should be a choice, and more that each girl should me a romantic choice. The justification for you to have to "seduce" each girl in the first game makes sense, because you have to extract information about your mother. Maybe you didn't have to romance them persay, and could instead form political alliances... but imo it works as far the first game is concerned.

My point is that I think you can have endings for every girl as part of the main plot, as long as each of these paths can conclude in a political alliance or a romantic one. Obviously I lack critical knowledge of the plot, but I'd assume that the mc will either revolt against his father and create a new faction with the help of Josie and friends, or he'll take over his tribe. Well, in pretty much any scenario he'll have to reforge alliances with all tribes, right? The previous offers of marriage were almost all a sham, so he'd have to forge actual alliances now - either by being the one in charge of his tribe and providing what his father would, or by creating some sort of new power that can rival his father's tribe in commodity.

That alone means that he'd have to get involved with all the tribes nonetheless, and bring about stability/a new regime to them, thus cementing him as an ally to whoever will be in charge. I don't see how they'd enter a stability period if he focused just on one of them, so rather than 12 unique storylines, it would be more of 12 necessary parts to the main story. Or maybe you can cut down on much of the conflict by mixing some tribes together in what their crisis is. Like, say, Rhea seeks to take control of her family by putting the twins tribe in their debt or something, idk - stuff like that.

Anyway, it would be a very good idea to find a way to integrate all of their storylines as much as possible at least until the very end of the game, cause otherwise they'll really be 12 different games, and for as novel as that might be, I don't think it would be advisable in terms of development (for your own sanity if nothing else).

well, the story take a turn here... new game, last line before the goal...

For me yuna is not better than her sister, she lie, quit, betray you with certainly your father orders to attack you, help your mother killer to put you in bed for weeks... So like her sister i send her in jail or to suck your father dick... In no way i will forgive her, no trust anymore for her... i hope we will have a choice and the mc no forgive her easily after she betrayed him, and put at risk the womens you love.

Josie is you mother killer... i see this comming after she kill the dryade... i would like to punish her but not like the red head slaver a real punisment. She have the right to hate your mother but you have the right to hate her too.

So your father declared war to all nubila when he attack the academy... For me i would like to come see him, tell him who is the killer to finish your last job to keep your honor, then challenged to a duel for put you loved one in danger and simply quit the war tribe and tell him, the wartribe lost honor because he attack innocent people when the murderer was in the wartribe (compliment to yuna s sister by the way...), and it should end with your father.

Then gathering your girls and unit nubilla in one big familly by mary all of them and go at war against your father and the war tribe and their allies...

Not one end by girl but a big harem end with all the girls put as minister (they all have a speciality...) But well we will see what the dev will do.

Should probably wrap this up before it completely escalates. But to sum it up, I massively enjoyed your work, thank you very much for every bit of it. And I'm excited to see where you will take it upon your return. For now I wish you sleepy nights (which you won't have ) and a happy new family life. I just downloaded the game again and downloaded the unlocker straight into the game folder like it said. When I go on main menu or in game and go to replays it doesnt have anything unlocked.

If you downloaded anything straight into the \game folder, that was wrong. In the unlocker you downloaded should be two archives named 'hard' and 'soft' (and a readme btw). Choose ONE of the archives, I recommend 'soft'.

The easiest way to do it is to have the archive called 'soft' in the same folder as the VN's exe. Choose 'extract here' on that archive. To see if you did everything correctly, there should now be a folder called '_mods' in your /game folder.

This is how it is supposed to look: ...\WartribeAcademy-2.0.2-pc\game\_mods
Does it look like that for you?
