This is still the very same "first game". The was no ending, just part 1 ended on a cliff-hanger, then it was marked as a [COMPLETE] game, so here we go starting a new thread for the part 2 of the same game.

Wartribe Academy is one of the best games here, I was eagerly awaiting Origins and I am slightly disappointed
of course it's just a initial release, but I expected a big step forward compared to a game released 5 years ago, but I don't see it, I don't feel it

yeah its a sequel, academy was completed last year I think.

I don't remember 2.0.1 being completed. It seemed very open ended, like there was more story needed. From the changelog, 2.0.2 is only bugfixes. So, tagged or not, the first game wasn't completed in my eyes.
And if this one doesn't start off where the previous one ended, there will be an open gap in the middle, which sometimes can ruin a story.
But, I will likely still download and try this one. lol

I didn't really like the "new" white background UI, so I made a quick dark fix for myself to play. Uploading it for ppl who feel the same way about the UI. Unzip into the root game folder replacing the files when asked.

Why is it called origins when it's a sequel not a prequel... origins typically means prequel...

If you play it, you will understand why it is called Origins. The overall storytelling is non-linear. This current iteration provides all sorts of character and plot background.

I enjoyed it. I look forward to more.

It does. This "new game" could've been released as Wartribe Academy version 2.1 or 3.0 or similar easily.

Weird naming convention with each chapter. Having said that, based on what the dev has done in the past, I suspect each chapter will be a large stand alone type game, which can be played by itself and have no direct effect on the others, or played in any order. As it stands, this one looks to be a prequel, yes, but not in the way you expect. Meaning it's a prequel to future chapters, while the first one we played through was a long prologue that established the various characters and their relationship with the MC, while also serving to establish the universe the game was taking part in.

not a prequel its a direct sequel, picks up immediately after the end of academy. Its called origins because you end up learning a lot more about the origns or MC an josie at the minimum

Wartribe sandbox was honestly horrible. I got annoyed having to click every location to try and guess the next event. Dev later added the next event option which made me think I wouldn't miss any but ended up missing half of them instead
