Update that was twice as big originally meant to release before July 20th now pushed to "before mid august" so in essence ending up taking twice as long as usual, impressive! I also imagine they'll be very generous with their interpretation of what "Before mid August" means and release it on exactly 11:59PM on August 15th.

Why don't you make your own game. Would be nice with a game where releases will be on time every time.

And... author takes vacation, developing is paused. One dev leaved, another tried do it himself and burn out.
Sounds about right. He also paused the payment in the mean time, and firmly says its a break not quiet quitting. Not sure why the other left tho. Hope things go for the better.

Edit: so hey if kerosine left, its nuar again solely holding the project now? I thought they collabing? Maybe it just gives them room for kerosine to think things through as well since he just left cuz of tension building. Idk

i'v been around for long time here to know how will this end , trust me its dead
I won't consider it dead until there are no more updates for at least a few months. Even then, I know about some projects that seemed dead for years only for the developer to come out of nowhere and complete it or start working on it again. If there is one thing I've learned from experience it's that nothing is truly certain.

I've been around for a long time too, and I've seen more than one game, where the dev's has taken a long break and came back. But that said. The number of games here that are actually completed can be counted on one hand. Most games with the completed tag aren't really completed. The dev, just decided that they are completed instead of disappearing. But end of the day. It doesn't really matter. We just need to learn to enjoy the games until they gets abandoned. End of the day. They are free of charge, so you can hardly blame the dev's for deciding to do something else.

WE: Another World — Development Update and Future Plans

Hello everyone,
We decided to write a few words about what’s going on with our team right now, and share some general news about our game.

As I mentioned earlier, my partner, with whom I worked on our first project, decided to leave the development of WE to me. I understand the reason why he made this choice, and I don’t blame him. The development of the last update demanded a lot of time and energy from us. As I wrote in the previous post, the coding and story parts of the project are now entirely my responsibility. The renders, however, are handled by another person.

I also mentioned that I decided to take a short break from development in order to rest, think about what to do next, and discuss possible collaborations with other developers.

It’s been about two weeks since that post, and I have some updates about the current state of the project:

Work on the project is gradually resuming. I’ve already started spending a few hours a day writing the remaining code, and soon I’ll fully dive into finishing the update. Therefore, on September 2nd, subscription billing will be resumed.

We’ve reached an agreement with Scyxar Studios and Bloody Ink, two teams working on NSFW content, about mutual cooperation and assistance. As a result, the next update will likely be available not only on the existing platforms, but also on scyxar.com. This means future updates will probably come out faster, and I won’t have to handle as much work on my own.

The release of the new update is guaranteed to happen in September. I can’t give you an exact date yet, but I can confidently say it will be released next month.

That’s pretty much everything I wanted to share. I’m very glad that things are starting to improve and that I’ve found a way forward from this situation.

Thank you to everyone who believes in me and in WE: Another World. It means a lot to know there are people who support me. None of this would be possible without you.
