Very nice game, one thing i noticed is that the casey Gloryhole event keeps repeating, aside from that i didn't notice any other bug.

I've played through the content that is currently available twice. For the submissive MC and for the resisting one.
For the resisting one, the MC behaves like a schizophrenic. He either stands on principle and is ready to overcome, or gives in and almost happily does everything that is required of him. Which kind of hints to us that this path simply exists, so that it would be.
Is it even worth commenting on the fact that, in essence, the only way to preserve one's "dignity" is to enter into a homosexual relationship with another "beta", suspiciously resembling a "decoy duck" in this "chicken coop"?
The unreality of everything that is happening is striking. It's just hard to believe.
With the current level of pressure, even among the infantile mama's boys there would be many who, unable to withstand it, would go crazy (you know that these are the guys who shoot their classmates, right?). Starting with the banal shaving of the hair on the head, resisting feminization, ending with self-harm, including suicide, and sticking a shiv into the belly of the "strict teacher", who so conveniently likes to be alone with her "victims" and does not look like a master of sports in wrestling.
In other words. With the current level of violence, this institution lacks security. In reality, everything would have ended VERY BADLY. Moreover, the "teacher" would have been sent around in a circle of "alphas" first, without waiting for the "beta" to break down. And if the "beta" had been put on hormones, as the "teacher" threatens, a real "Texas chainsaw massacre" would have begun. Does the author even watch the news? A transvestite on hormones is literally a berserker space marine of Khorne. And here, no one is stopping you from pumping up your biceps in the gym and there are all sorts of irons around without supervision, take as much as you want.
In general. With the current plot, the author needs to turn this institution into a real prison. Otherwise, it's the ravings of a madman.
If he wants to continue to flirt with the "school atmosphere", then the process of feminization and other brainwashing should happen smoothly and non-violently. Where the "guinea pigs" should be encouraged and convinced more.
As for this whole topic with "alphas" and "betas". In reality, it would be enough to spread a rumor. That everything that is happening is a sinister eugenic experiment by the government, with the goal of excluding all the guinea pigs from reproduction, so that women would only go to the chosen ones (and among the guys forcibly brought here, there are clearly none, no matter what the "alphas" say about their coolness). about the news and the general lack of realism — yes, a lot of things currently rely on conventions, and we're deliberately avoiding some of the topics you mentioned. we're fully aware of what this could look like in real life. we don't want to write about that at all and aren't exploring that direction because, for us, it would simply be too much. there's currently only one semi-hidden event that touches on the idea that not everyone here is mentally ok and that suicidal thoughts exist among some characters. but i feel like we won't go deeper into such topics
in other words, we want to keep the setting satirical, with many things exaggerated and absurd, and maintain some conventions. but i think you're right in pointing out that we could find additional "foundations" for the narrative to give better reasoning behind everything without pushing it into genuinely harsh living conditions in the clinic
as for the idea that the resistance path goes through entering into homosexual relationships..... that's not entirely correct. if it seemed that way to you, that's bad (for us as developers, since weve clearly done something wrong)
and yeah, thinking about it, the resistance path can indeed look a bit inconsistent. we've been trying — and are still trying — to make the gameplay for this path revolve around "sacrificing something to avoid failing completely". i think we will continue developing this path in the same manner but with added polishing yeah

You can give the main character the opportunity to organize minor sabotage, opposing what is happening. Clog the sewer, for example. Or cause a small fire for the cook. This guy seemed very suspicious to me. He had women's clothes hanging in his closet, even before the MC (and everyone else?) was forced to change. Did I understand that correctly? I even caught myself thinking that when he showed that he had a key, for me it would have been the last straw. I probably would have beaten some answers out of him. :3
And yes, it seemed to me that the path of resistance is the MC insisting on his heterosexuality. And therefore the line with this guy actively restoring our self-esteem is not just bad, it's strange.
p.s. I advise you to take a look at the game: Ready to Reform (available on this site). In case you haven't already. The plot is somewhat similar and some moments are really well realized. I kept catching myself comparing you and them.
For example, the moment is well played out that in such conditions, in order to get something, it is not just money that is important, but acquaintances, mutual services.
Skill leveling and subsequent checks in quests. It is nice, you understand that your efforts were not in vain.
Well, and the fact that the main character has something to choose from, even if he is forced to do something. You feel like you are playing, and not scrolling through a visual novel, pressing "next".

yeah, but there's a problem — it would create a strong contrast with the submissive/unsuccessful resistance path. the thing is, events like that don't really fit an adult-oriented playthrough. or they could, but it would feel poorly tied in or just strange. we've looked into this, but honestly, it's hard in terms of the cost/fun ratio: developing stuff like that takes a lot of time.
BUT!! the ideas you've written later about alphas are actually pretty good. i'm not sure how much of it we could use specifically, but it definitely feels like something we can work with.

well, look, i can't really talk about this right now. let's save this conversation for the future. all i can say is you've got it right. but as someone in the comments pointed out, there should still be something good in this clinic. and, as you can see, these two things are in conflict. we're trying to balance them out right now.by the way, the resistance path isn't really tied to elijah — it's more about casey (the janitor). he's one of the key characters for this path at the moment, but in the future, it won't all revolve around him. for now, he's kind of the starting point. elijah is disconnected from the “resist or not resist” choice. but yeah, he does give you dignity bonuses, which we simply explain by the fact that he's the only person in the game (so far) who treats you decently and doesn't crush your sense of self-worth.
about "ready to reform" — i think i missed it, actually. will check it today. thanks for the recommendation!
