Agreed, to a point, except that even this game suffers from dev's subterfuge, always offering cheating as though it's ok.
And yeah, I could name quite a few NTS games that are above "ok", but a Top5 list surely requires "excellence", no?
With thought about the principles of a game, even though some of the scenarios are not to everyone's tastes, I would say that Family Vacation comes pretty close to the ideals I would support, and at least the dev is disciplined in his approach.

I can assure you that it's the girls and their bodily reactions and movements that I watch, and the only reason the dick exists is because of the character it's attached to, and how he makes said girls behave. Beyond that, it could be made of anything else, I wouldn't care....

I get why you might disagree with my reasoning about ALWL, but even in the game thread there are others confused about what does and doesn't constitute cheating. Just pointing out the lack of genuine clarity, something which is important to many, not just me.

im not I just disagree personally is all as for me it felt pretty clear what is and what isn't cheating to me at least on the MC's side. When it comes to Mary well that feels like it depends on the person you ask as some might have issue with either the birthday party or photoshoot with him as well as the glory hole scenes and consider those cheating and others won't.

The poll is for which kind of endings people prefer. And so far open ended is winning followed closely by fully corrupted and past the point of return.
Meaning the lowest result gets the shittiest ending, and the highest gets all the effort and detail, I guess.
There goes another one.....damn, it was such a good game, a few faults but generally captivating and balanced by choices.
Seems like those aren't going to matter so much now.
It did look like it had a while to go before endings were imminent.

There are actually a couple of scenes we will be going through once we have completed the game, and making some minor changes. I know the gloryhole scene is one. Some stuff with Charlie as well. Much of the early stuff, as we have learned more since we began working on it, we want to make better. We never intended for it to be underhanded in any way. And we have been able to justify why certain scenes happened, but making it more clear is something we will work on as we do some fixes after completion.
I don't think there is any question about when MC cheats, more about his wife that brings up the confusion.

I still recommend the game. I don't think Bobby will half arse any ending I hope. I know he has plans for twelve to thirteen chapters.

Just want to add something to it I think. I like how the scene is, but want to make it feel just a little less "cheaty" maybe. We will be going through the entire game and making a few dialogue changes in places, just for clarity, and flow. We won't change the way the scene plays out, but may change up a bit of dialogue in it, and the aftermath of it. Will just see as we do it. We didn't have a clear idea of what all would happen afterwards in the game (later chapters I mean) so making sure everything flows correctly is the main concern there.

what about the dialogue / conversation they have in the park about it ( I forget if that was right after or not). I personally had no issue with the glory hole but if there was something about it I would criticize it would be their conversation about it . It felt like it was way to quick of a talk about the whole thing and if I recall correctly Mary just said sorry and went to the next topic.

I voiced my complaints way back when it first came out, so I won't belabor it - I did feel like something didn't 'fit quite right', whatever that means in an abstract sense; indeed probably could be smoothed with dialogue. (I assume by gloryhole you two are talking about the beach outhouse part)
I interpreted him as joking in an 'over the top' way like "obviously they're all cucks and homos - except if you're me, looking like ryan gosling"

Yes, this is the scene we are talking about. There are a few scenes I feel that way about, the not 'fit quite right' part. Again, due to us being new to this, especially at the time, and the game growing more later on, I definitely want to revisit some of those scenes and make them fit and flow better.
