Yep, I hated the because I love her update. Get ready for more teasing phone bullshit in the future.

I just left that thread, but I hadn't really gotten a good picture of what the update truly was. Some first impressions from people are often misleading, or made in haste. It was called the "NTR update", but does that include NTS at all?

What made you dislike the update, how the story unfolds, or that it happens on a phone? I do like one or two phone games, but I wouldn't like a traditional DAZ 3D style game to suddenly lose all ambitions with storytelling and reduce the scope to a mere phone screen.

The phone stuff didn't bother me... apart from the implementation. That phone system is janky af. The update overall, however, I thought was bad. The writing seems to have gotten worse. And then, of course, the only person they could turn to for Gwen if MC doesn't help out is Damien.

At this point in the story, Typist's "writing" sort of went a similar direction in the original...
Seems to lose direction, focus, passion, whatever. Or maybe, there's too many "paths"/variations and he can't quite cover them all, so has to consolidate them all back to a single stream again, and that's why the writing suffers. It kind of feels like a soft "reset" of sorts...

Just played 30 minutes of a very popular game and got a loser MC that feels insecure from the first moment. Keeps giving his wife involuntary hints that she's not sexy enough for him to parade in front of his friends and she takes his hints at face value, so he's never again in control of the situation and the game becomes about his wife's cuckoldress fantasy. The most "beta" MC I've tried to play in months. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about with that game, if characters evolved as you played, but a loser MC paired with a wife that gets off on humiliating him is all there was. Not saying there can't be games like that, it probably satisfies sadistic cravings in people who enjoy bullying and self-insert into his wife or "friends" instead.

Yeah, the phone is very poorly implemented. Does not help.

I think part of the problem is the game goes full throttle in like the first or second release. We go straight to Damien being able to fuck both Claire and Zoey. What else do you do after that? But not only that... it's just not very hot.

That's why I compared to the original and soft "reset".
He's starting a "new" story line, a build-up, because he's already had a big bang.

We've had an entire discussion earlier about how to delay or recapture that first big "moment" feeling/hotness after it's happened.
That's what Typist is having to do now. He's building to the next big thing.

I understand the complaints, just think it'll require a little more patience from readers.
Let the man cook a bit, and see what shakes out...

meh... I just don't think I'll be able to get into the game. Claire and Zoey are gorgeous, which is the only reason I check it out. But... it's just not that good of a game, IMO.

The NTS update before this most recent one was some of the best stuff I have played on here, so I'm just let down by how lacklustre this update was.

even tho I dislike how to get there for the last sharing scene I have to agree the actually sharing part was some of the better sharing ive seen. ( tho I think you told me there is way to get the Zoey scene without sleeping with her) So gonna check that out cause if I can that will make it alot better for me.

That IS boring indeed. She might as well not actually do anything and just make up a story instead. Which a game kind of already is, a made up story, but it can't become so abstract that it doesn't evoke any emotions.

I did check back into the thread, and the screenshots you and others posted... I'm not impressed! And the phone doesn't even look good, which is just a mostly static image you can make perfect. Wasn't this game known for looking good? I played it before the Love-update, and the deprecated version as well, had such good looking renders and unique character models (to me). The final scene before the love update had so many interesting choices and permutations. It was high quality, in many aspects.

Now it looks cheap, and as I said, I do enjoy one or two phone games with our particular genre tastes, so I don't think I'm biased against them in principle.

Yeah, I like phone story and netorase phone but this phone system needs work.

Apparently, Typist's kryptonite is phone interfaces...
He's mentioned before that he left it out of the original because he didn't feel he could pull it off.
There were some Patreon comments made saying similar about the current, having issues implementing the phone interface and making it "good".

Any way, I agree, the phone was clunky. I disagree about it being boring, I liked the sexting...
But to be fair, based on Typist's previous comments, I honestly wasn't expecting much.
Maybe that's why I'm not as disappointed as others, low expectations...

That obvious, huh? Did play it till the sex after the first pool scene, and it sealed it for me. I understand the author isn't one to "appease", so no real expectation that the tone of the game might change further on. Pity, because other games like The Spellbook gave me the same vibes at first, but turned out to be enjoyable.

Personally I like My Italian Slut wife but it's more like a guilty pleasure for me as I really like teasing and it's a better version of TAC for me which isn't hard to do. But I do agree it falls short compared to most sharing games out there

I deleted Italian slut wife when I saw how spineless and cucky the MC was. My god, that game is beyond even porn logic.

And I saw some people in there who praise that but complained about netorase phone and Laura having more control than the MC lol.

Yeah I mean I had no issue with the MC because I see my self as a spineless person but man I would at least would make my concerns and issues known at least to the wife even if I see my self as a passive spinless person overall.

But the praise it gets is weird I admit I enjoy it alot but that is because of the teasing and it's more like a guilty pleasure for me but it really isn't a good NTS game at all more like a porn game first with NTS elements than an NTS game. So when I see some of the praise it gets makes me want to facepalm lol
