I see 2 great reasons for this girl to become an interactive character in the future!

If you think as one sex scene for one month, than the heavy delays are very understandable. A great work. The gameplay was about for 4 hours for me.
The dialogues are the top notch. Especially the guards. It's actually interesting to re-start the game just to see the guards goofing around and making nice jokes - an amazing work to think how most porn games makes male characters some kind of robots, instead of a real human. Of course, the girls and the other side characters are very great.
I do not think the 'serious' part was overdone. It was actually quite refreshing, since the game is very light-hearted and friendly. It's not that I do not like the light-hearted side of this game, I actually very much enjoy it. But the serious parts didn't kill the gaming experience, but actually helped to focus more on the lore.
My only problem is that

They update the content based on Patreon votes. Ir doesn't seem those girls are that popular, so it'll take a while before that.

In my case, my only grievance was that the whole 'steal the runstone' quest was a bit too long and dull. I think it was near the third hour of straight play and I suddenly felt like I was grinding and getting very similar scenes one after another.

But all those 'serious' moments you mention, I'm perfectly fine with them. They felt natural. I haven't talked to any other tester so I don't know if they are actually referring to those

The Mirror bugged. Once you look in it/and/or speak with the princess, there is no way to "close" it (mirror) after that. There is no "close" (cross) button and getting stuck there forever!
