It's really not a porn game.
It's an adult game with sexually explicit scenes.
Porn is just a scenario providing sex, for the sole purpose of creating arousal. It has no requirement for any story to be told.
Guy turns up for reason X - fix the sink, deliver pizza, whatever - fucks the woman. That's it.
Whereas this game tells a story, with some erotic scenes that can cause arousal.
I'd suggest that the story is the main course, the sex is a side-dish.
In porn, sex is the only dish.

I mean, it's literally a two person team so based on that, the low speed isn’t surprising. The patrons seem happy with it. As a fan I'm a bit frustrated by the wait time too, mostly because I'm very engaged with the story! ^_^ But it is what it is.
I do agree that the scope is almost frighteningly ambitious, and it does feel like it will take 10 years to finish. But is that really so bad? At the end of those ten years there will be one of the most complex, beautiful, and well written adult 2d games ever made. For a game with "legend" in the name, they seem to be aiming to fit the description. Once it's complete, WAL will probably be the gold standard by which other indie adult VN's are measured.

Well, then maybe play Lana's story again and pay attention when talking to Sev, it's all explained there (hint: by having sex, the MC only learns Gifts, which are a special kind of magic only a few families have in its blood, so not every woman he fucks has a Gift: it's known that Lana, Serena, and Madeline Goldenbush all have Gifts, but no one else so far). Love the new Update, Rose has been my 3rd Favorite for a long time. Kind of disappointed that it isn't a MMF Threesome with Myrtle, but we can't always get what we want. Looking forward to the next Update, seeing as Gomira is the cover girl for it. I'm hoping we maybe get some more Holly scenes or a Madeline Scene out of it.

I'm aware of that conversation, yes. But as I said, my fantheory was that the seven statues represent seven specific women who Lassie will learn Gifts from. and my comment was about how the failure of Lassie to learn a Gift from Rose (and questions about Lady Mad not having an obvious statue representation) creates problems for that theory.

I don't know, something about this game is losing me. I used to be really into it, but it's fading with each update. Sort of hard to put into words but it's lacking an erotic buildup for me with some of the latest characters. This is the 3rd character, off the top of my head, that instantly was dtf but then you had to resolve their 'issues' and then your free to bang. It's fine story telling wise but it's not really why I am playing these games.
I prefer the erotic build up where this complete stranger/acquaintance/friend isn't into you yet, like normal a person, then slowly they develop feelings for you and it grows that way. Summertime Saga does this well and I think that's part of it's staying power. Myrtle, The elf chick, and now Rose have all instantly wanted to bone you, but couldn't due to the 'story'. Myrtle you had to get rid of the wolf for her, even though she wanted you from the get go, The Elf Chick you had to do the prison break, Rose you have to cure, but they all are 'holding off' after just meeting you a few times. I guess I am just not a fan of these characters instantly and already being super into you. Would be nice if some of the characters were a bit more reluctant instead of dtf on the second interaction, kind of ruins the whole point in my opinion.
There isn't a slow burn here with these characters, the candle is pretty much burnt all the way from the start, but you have to clean your room first before you can smell it. Just a trend I've been noticing with the writing.

Personally my theory is they represent Sev's own harem from when he was the hentai game protagonist. The MC is probably planned to get at least one of each in his harem in the final game. (Plus some races not seen here like werewolves, vampires, giants, and bunnies.)
You can have MMF without sharing the F with anyone, if they're both focused on you. However magicnuts has previously stated there won't be any M/M content in this game whatsoever.
