Patreon needs to tie payments to the frequency of updates, for example, the developer undertakes to release an update once a month, as long as the deadline is met, payments go out, as soon as the deadline is exceeded, payments are frozen. Otherwise they relax too much, summertime saga is the same scam.

Patreon benefits have always been met. The game is free for all and its release is not tied to how much money you give the devs or how much money they earn. They publish their daily progress for free and offer a weekly, more detailed report to their patrons. Every single person who voluntarily decides to subscribe knows what to expect and can make their own choices fully informed, they even know how much money are getting those devs (unlike those interested in supporting the guy who has just posted above me, funnily enough). Calling something a scam doesn't make it one.

But, you know, year have 12 months. 18 month isnt year nor two years... Its somewhere in middle. Maybe somewhere is word for it.
I meant it will most likely be two years for when the new update is on target for release, based on the discord it was at 90% in early December, if its 95 now. 3 months is a fair assessment to take the new update to June/ July . That's slow progress.

It's really up to the patrons in this case. If the sole artist (who I think we agree should not be temporarily replaced by someone else for the sake of consistency) gives birth, it's normal in most civilised contries to get parental leave. Where I'm living it's indeed quite normal to get at least a year. So it's understable that she took a real break for some time.
It takes 5 seconds to stop your contribution on patreon, so one would hope, that those people who think they didn't get what they gave their money for, have stopped giving long ago.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's pretty insane how many people demand that a monther of a newborn starts working again right away, just so they have their porn game. Then again, I'm not following this topic closely, so one may just ignore this comment...
