I think I missed the previous conversations but what exactly do you consider to be misogynist? Just curious.Hi, woman with a rape fetish here, who is also a survivor. I don't wanna go too deep into it cause it's super off topic (WaL isn't going anywhere near there, despite my criticisms of it not being perfect on the subject of consent) but the rapebait genre presents a false reality around what rape is, why it happens, and under what circumstances (hint, almost all rape is performed by someone the victim knows and trusts), and this false narrative is ultimately one that protects the rapists in real life from consequences. (Not the only factor, of course. But that people don't believe you when you tell your story unless it matches The Narrative they expect is a pretty major one.)
That's the main reason I call it misogynist. I still get off to it anyway, so. Just because it appeals to folks like me doesn't mean it's not built on a misogynist framework.
Honestly, the dialogue is one of the highlights of the game.Dialogue's a bit too goofy for my tastes so far, but nothing horrible. Enjoyable.
I think it helps that they're clearly native English speakers. No Engrish or awkward machine translation, so the dialogue sounds very natural.Honestly, the dialogue is one of the highlights of the game.
Consider other games where the writers "think" they're funny, only its not. Its not funny, it's cringe-inducing.
But What a Legend does well is combine humour with sex in a way that works. They've kept it simple, there's a joke in almost every scene and it never comes across as cringey or creepy.
What a Legend is one of the best games on this site thanks in part to the quality of its script.
Oh really? I wonder if they just *live* there but are from, I don't know, UK or US. magicnuts speaks an incredibly good English, and I'd be doubly impressed if it wasn't their native language.I'm pretty sure the dev team is from Spain *checks the About section on the website* yep, they're from Spain, so not native speakers. Which makes it all the more impressive.
As far as I know, both of them are from Spain and still live in Spain. They probably lived abroad some time during their lives, though. And I think I once read he' was an English language teacher, which should explain this 'mistery'Oh really? Oh man, the number of 'they're/their/there' being misused on the internet... is goddamn high!English is the lingua franca of the entire world and highly fluent second language speakers are extremely common, especially in major cities and especially in western europe. Meanwhile, you'd be quite surprised how much bad dialogue is written by native speakers.
It's basic writing skills, not some unusually high level of fluency in the language.
I cry every time I see 'should of'. Luckily no mistakes like that in this game.Oh man, the number of 'they're/their/there' being misused on the internet... is goddamn high!
It depends on what's being done, but yeah most of the times it's slow (better than being rushed and end up being a turd).Very slow
