During that 8 months, Chestnut gave birth to her second child and Chestnut was briefly in hospital, so it's reasonable to hope that things might speed up a bit. After 8 months the update is barely at 50%. It'll be way more

Wrong name on who broke themselves. And it won't speed upDuring that 8 months, Chestnut gave birth to her second child and Chestnut was briefly in hospital, so it's reasonable to hope that things might speed up a bit.
Yes, the first "Chestnut" should have been "Pistachio", but I had a brain fart.Wrong name on who broke themselves. And it won't speed up
The other way around, I think.Yes, the first "Chestnut" should have been "Pistachio", but I had a brain fart.
Oops! Yes. I really should learn to check what I've written before pressing Post. The other way around, I think.
0.6 took them ~10 months, they got a new kid since then ........ People still expecting sub-year releases need to change what game they followYou know... I actually kinda expected the new update to drop in april or may at the latest but I guess I was overly optmistic. I haven't been keeping up to date with the game or the devs since the last (current) update so I'm not sure if something is going on with Chestnut and Pistachio. Not sure why it takes so much longer than usual unless the update is gonna be twice as big as the ones before itSeeing how the update is only about halfway done is kinda worrying. I'm still just as excited as I always was for any update but it certainly starts to feel like 'What a Legend' might never finish... atleast not in the next 20 years when looking at how incredibly big the world is and how we are still just in the first out of 7 or 8 (?) hub worlds.
Having a kid isn't what's causing the update to take over a year, It's the size of the content for this update. This is the largest amount of content they've ever planned on any of their releases.0.6 took them ~10 months, they got a new kid since then ........ Here you go.Can someone give the fully complete save file till now?
Judging by the comments on their Patreon, people are.0.6 took them ~10 months, they got a new kid since then ........ People still expecting sub-year releases need to change what game they follow
Being on Patreon doesn't remove the fact that most people are dumbJudging by the comments on their Patreon, people are.
ignore the salty replies. What you were enquiring is completely valid. Don't let the dwellers chronically addicted to porn, who spend 12 hours a day on this site tell you otherwise. You know... Glad you chose 1 of the worst counter to your point to try and argue devs blowignore the salty replies. What you were enquiring is completely valid. Don't let the dwellers who spend 12 hours a day on this site tell you otherwise.
I wish the devs well but this sort of thing is far too common with so many new games on this site. Arguably even badik gets too much of a pass if it wasn't so monstrous in content. Too many times do fairly recent games release an update that can be played in 10 mins but took 6-8 months just to drop.
Not saying this game is one of those, I doubt chesnut and co are like that but its definitely a reoccurring problem. Ambition sells much more than practicality on this site. I've seen threads argue to the death over an abandoned title. Very strange
Yeah not to be that guy but pretty sure people would be less prone to complaining if they did updates more often with smaller doses of content. Just so we can at least be assured that the project hasn't been abandoned.Having a kid isn't what's causing the update to take over a year, It's the size of the content for this update. Now having a baby has slowed them down a bit. But they aren't massively behind what their normal progress would be.
An example of just how large this update is compared to previous ones would be to look at the art tasks (This is usually the slowest part of development). The previous update (which had been the largest up to that point) had 199 art tasks and took chestnut 10 months to complete. The current update has 280 tasks a massive 40% increase on the last one. Hence the reason I felt gomiras story should have been a 2 parter rather then a single release.
They actually had a vote on it on patreon and more people voted for bigger updates with more time in between them. There's not really any reason to think it's abandoned since they regularly post status updates and evidence that they are still working on the game.Yeah not to be that guy but pretty sure people would be less prone to complaining if they did updates more often with smaller doses of content.
