But it moved backwards. Those new tasks got added to the "Edit" bar once the initially planned content was done and they could properly test it and feel that this final part was just not working. This is the last progress tracker from the 'creation' phase:

And this was the next one, 5 days later. As you can see, the edit bar went up from 507 total tasks to 556, and these 50 new tasks include that last scene they weren't happy with.

And it's still going 'backwards' if you want to think about it that way, as now there are 565 edit tasks planned, and probably even some more will still be added before the release. But there has been an actual net progress of 33 edit tasks completed in this last month (42 actually done minus 9 new tasks added). Again, everything matches dev's words, as he claimed they'd want to focus on those edits in May and then, in June, he would focus on "bugs", hoping for the whole thing to be ready for external testers and then released by the end of June - if they're happy enough with the result.

I've said it before, this game has amazing art but it is completely uninspired.

Characters are boring, locations are boring, the story is boring as fuck and it is text heavy without saying anything.

You even go to Hell and nothing's happening.. you just have a long talk with the Devil.
So, what's the point in this? Why introduce that location? It's like going to the bar and have a talk to the barkeeper.

This game needs a reboot.

No, not really, what this game really needs is to be “Completed“, besides each person has their taste and if this game doesn't fit yours probably means that it wasn't made for you, that all.

Not trying to invalidate your opinion here, my point is that changing the game to please you specifically will probably result in having those who like it how it was to dislike it instead which doesn't make any sense considering that's the player base supporting the project in the first place.

Do you agree, though, that this game has done so many things wrong? Could it be better?

Everything can always be better. Still, this isn't 'tasteless' at all to me. I find it quite delicious. The art is top-notch in my book, and I like the goofy humor most of the time. It doesn't have a deep story, but there are other games for that. Sometimes it's fun to immerse myself into a complex lore, sometimes I just want to click away and see some light-hearted sexy stuff - without having to replay from the beginning to change some choice I made or remember why I'm even at this point in the story right now.
So no, nobody who enjoys this game the way it is needs to 'know better'. You should know better though than to criticize people for enjoying 'tasteless food' - it's not tasteless, it's just not to your taste. Go eat something else then.
