Seriously though. If debugging now takes THIS LONG to finish, how could another chapter even be made? At this point the pace has slowed again and if this is their speed it would potentially take five years to finish Holly. FIVE YEARS.

Most likely, they weren't working all the times they said they were (or working very very little) since their development pace is essentially 1/10 of what it was for the rest of the Gomira chapter. And now they are trying to get something out the door.

I still remember when the Dev said (around April) that it would be done around July, which was considered waaaaaaay to long a wait at the time. Crazy, huh?

TBH "trends" can't be trusted any more with advance of AI bot networks, you give them a task and they'll spam so much content everywhere that creates believable trends that have absolutely zero to do with actual reality

and when Steam distribution or alike starts to get involved, then it is even worse, they ponder to these trends, and if your product doesn't check the right boxes, it will never get promoted on any lists, which will be populated with inclusive plus sized diy discounted purple dyed hair tatted hot dog gushing pierced dikes with strong opinions

I'm sorry but it looks like the Devs have been slacking off big time and just milking the patreons for free meal tickets. I am in software development and it does not take THIS long for what should have been a simple update. It's not like they are rewriting the entire game from scratch ffs. This game is dead for sure.

They kind of had a baby, then it's unclear what's going on, but there's been no update for 2 years and unfortunately another promising game that fell victim to milking.

Say what you want about Summertime Saga but that one at least is a complete game at this point and the devs did deliver early on. WAL is just a plain scam. To think that I entertained the notion of supporting them once. Dodged a bullet.

I'm talking about the previous version. I remember it got me like 20h of gameplay which I enjoyed.

I mean, WAL has like 5 girls ready out of 15. Not even half of the game is finished.

I replied to that comment saying something about how they're probably just sitting in the sun in Spain and drinking cocktails on patreon money and some more shit about their sponsors. We both got deleted for inciting arguments apparently
