About the 'Abandon tag', don't worry too much about it on this game, it's only one person drawing the art, and that's the part where you can't just 'hire more people', to get it done faster.

Yes, it takes time, but they have a very small team, I thing its just 2-3 people.
And they never compromise with the story, art and overall quality. I would love if they can push the updates faster but its simply not possible for them.

There was one art contractor for release before previouse. But he make only backgrounds. I don't know if he is still interest in development.

It's always been RenPy AFAIK, though I never played the first one or two versions so I suppose it could have been Unity way back then.

Since patrons claimed for buffed updates telling a complete story, yes, it takes from 9 to 15 months (excluding the abnormally 2+ years long hiatus before 0.7)

That's nothing. We just waited 2 years for the 0.7.00 update. The last real update was in december and the one in february was just some bug fixes and rewriting a few scenes
