You are right about that but you can use that argument on several kinks and fetishes. Not everyone likes anal, some people only like M/M content and will be disappointed if WaL might have that later but only a tiny bit and some people want more or less sex in a game.
You can't please them all but you can do have a solid pregnancy system/route which not many games have. Not all will like it but the kink is stronk nowadays so it's a sink to earn money. The way I described how it could be done will "spare" those who aren't into it (just don't marry someone) and reward those who like it. It will consume time and resources, yes, but so does everything else.

Hm, I think anal and pregnancy are almost the perfect opposites in this case. To add anal you can just add a scene or two with a few lines to almost every character and it'll be fine. That's a very reasonable effort.
For pregnancy on the other hand you need a lot of context/writing, several new CGs/sprites for different stages, art for the child, possibly even new game mechanics, etc. and there's still a chance that quite a few who actually like pregnancy content just aren't into the character that was chosen for it and rather would have liked to see somebody else. It's certainly a fetish that requires effort.

A game who has futanari as the main focus will devour a lot of time just for that. Why should pregnancy not get a huge spotlight if the devs would like to have that in their game?

Oh, I totally agree and I'm not agianst that at all. I just want(ed) to add why it's not that clear for many who don't actually care that much. I mean, there's surely large number of devs who don't like every fetish they implement. If somebody is really into it, that's great, but for a dev who looks at fetishes he may wants add, pregnancy isn't the most obvious. But that's just my opinion.
