If I could give you 100 thumbs up for this post, I would.I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of people who complain here have never been anywhere near MagicNuts' Patreon page...

Plus the devs routinely offer to refund people who are unhappy with any extra length the update takes.I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of people who complain here have never been anywhere near MagicNuts' Patreon page...

Exactly what I was going to post. Congratulated MagicNuts in private on their Patreon page for their last update, was expecting a bot reply but nope, discussed a few things, overall just great people who loves what they do, and it shows in the quality of their games.I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of people who complain here have never been anywhere near MagicNuts' Patreon page...

The hate is likely due in part to people like Icstor, DarkCookie, and UberPie. Devs who used to make consistent updates that began to slow down as they made more and more money. We're a couple of weeks shy of it having been seven months since the last update of What a Legend, people are bound to become impatient and there exists tons of examples of devs who started to take advantage of the patreon system after a year or so of regular updates. No patreon developer is above reproach.I just don't get all the hate, Magicnuts is one of the most hardworking devs team in the business that produces quality content consistently. I was proud to be able to support them and not just the peanut tier either, regrettably personal problems prevented me from supporting and funding the game further or I would still be a Patreon. This game is simply the best hand drawn game in the adult scene, period and Magicnuts is a great dev. I honestly don't get all the vitriol specially from people that has never supported. Ludicrous.
I get what you mean, but the whole mental process behind that kind of behavior you're describing is just silly and extremely unfair, especially coming from pirate forum users. First, the milking issue. Nobody is forcing patrons to keep paying a monthly fee when there's nothing new to download, yet they freely choose to keep supporting the dev; this can only mean they are happy with the way dev is doing things and are satisfied enough with what they're getting in exchange (or have gotten in the past). So not really a reason to complain when you personally aren't paying a dime: if anything, complaining only shows your selfishness for not being able to play for free something you like at the pace you'd like to. Now, of course there are devs who lie to their patrons. That's totally unacceptable and unprofessional, and it's fine to warn potential patrons of what are they risking if they choose to still support that dev. But it's not fair to use those blatant cases to raise doubts about every other dev. That's a toxic attitude. The hate is likely due in part to people like Icstor, DarkCookie, and UberPie. I would say maybe 33 %, probably less. I mean... if you look on the map and compare it to what you can see and how much of it we can visit... there's still quite some stuff to do.^^Almost two years... Do we know how much of the story is complete?
I'd rather say less than 20%. We're in the old capital, and there are 5 major locations, that are on land, and than there is Floa town, Rum town, Festive isles.Almost two years... Do we know how much of the story is complete?
I will make a wild guess-between 15% and 30%.Almost two years... Do we know how much of the story is complete?
............... the year is 2032 ........... and magicnuts leaves the long awaited message:
"Dear friends, thank you for your decade long support. Next month we are releasing the final and complete version of WaL for the Holidays.
It´s been an amazing journey (that also made us very wealthy.... well with a 3-month update rate we would have become very very rich, but our health was more important).
We never expected that this game will become the most popular erotic game and so beloved as it did. It broke even barriers into mainstream.
People naming it the "Witcher 3" of erotic games is really an honor to us.
As you know we sold the filming rights for WaL a couple of years ago and we can tell you that the first season of the WaL-series is coming to Netflix and Adult-Netflix next year with the humor and style everybody loves and we think it´ll end better than Game of Thrones.
PS.: After the series goes through the roof, we plan to sue Netflix for a couple hundred millions so in the the end we´ll become rich anyways....... ;-)"
It gets hard for me after 4-5 monthsThis is actually the one game where I don't mind waiting. That's because so far the devs have delivered superb updates. The last update took quite a while as well but was a total banger. And I guess the other reason is because I have trained my body and soul while waiting for an update for Bones Tales Manor, Ecchi Sensei, Innocent Witches and other games lol.
The one who doesn't throwing money is always the loudest one. Idk why.7 months between updates and these guys keep throwing money at fool like these, sts and radiant KEKW
Shit, waiting for anything in Innocent Witches is tantamount to ascetic training. Innocent Witches has had exactly one scene people asked for in the past two years, and only has three sex scenes after nearly six. Development for the next update for What A Legend! is getting a little long in the tooth, but it's nowhere near as bad as the worst of the worst offenders so far. This is actually the one game where I don't mind waiting. Y'all see the last update for Being a DIK? They update something like twice a year and they wasted a full update on a stand alone chapter for a character that only a few people even like, let alone want to see content for. And to make matters worse it was ten minutes long which is a big departure from their usually meaty update. Until WAL does something like that, there's nothing to worry about.
