It depends on my mood, but always I prefer 2D and 3D porn than real porn :eek:penedeyewink:
2D is usually better but it lacks animations and a lot of pics per sex scene, in that case, 3D is better.

2D or 3D is fine, as long as they're not shit.

I'm a designer, not an artist, but with both things, attention to detail, experience and skill are important.

2D art is usually more enjoyable for me, as someones usually taken the time to draw it and it shows in the art. 3D art now a days more cookie cutter than anything. I like a good 3D render as long as its good and the proportions ain't super out to left field, and needs to be modern 3D, not honey select, cause thats just horrid blocky crap

Both of my games are 3D but that's not about preference, I'm not a digital artist, so I took what I could get. I consider Good Girl Gone Bad to be one of the best games out there. The art is sexy, and the writing is top notch. My favorite game is 3D, but it's not the best art out there. Coceter Chronicles uses a lot of basic models without much editing at all. However they are sexy characters because of the writing. What I'm saying is, good art is nice. Good writing is better.

It's a matter of balance for me...most of the games these days use renders which is why I do appreciate any drawn art a little more...but I remember the first days of 3D renders and had the same feeling back than in reverse...what is true about drawn art is that most games that use it have a original look to them while 3D titles only differ in level of detail...
apart from that I agree...
good art is nice. Good writing is better.

What about real-time 3D? Are we mainly talking about pre-rendered 3D images, or 3D models animated in real-time inside the game engine? As far as my preference, I like it all if it's good art. If it's bad art, I don't.

Everything related to 3D in this case yes. I'm actually more a 2D Artist which is why I'm happy with this poll result at the end. I've bin working with Cinema 4D since years meanwhile too, however, It's a pain in the backside to render if you have over 50 Projects open. I've tried batch rendering but that solution was worse than I thought for several reasons, overall quality included.

Ps: Thanks to everyone who shared their opinion, I do appreciate that.

I feel 2d works better for more different projects, that's for sure. 3d is mostly used for modern day games nowadays, probably the main reason I like it less is because the games that use it are more vanilla and seem to pop up by the dozens. On the other hand when you have a 2d artist there's much more flexibility as to what they can do, they can do monsters, animals, aliens that are not colored humans, more than type of expression and many other cool things.

That said, I don't dislike 3D as a while, just the bad use of it, games like Mythic Manor, Waifu Academy, BB have really good renders that put your average 2D art to shame. Like many things, all that is popular produces large amounts of shit content for each good one.

I prefer 2d because sometimes 3d just looks creepy as hell tome. Also I feel that the artist has more fredom when creating 2d characters compared to 3d characters.

2DCG.
Only times when 3DCG looks good enough is when it's high quality cel shaded render, obviously anime-like. All those Daz3D models I saw so far look weird and plastic as fuck, have to see decent looking one in a porn game. Then again, some people use Illusion games for getting 3DCG and effects are much better. So I guess most commonly used Daz3d models just look bad.

IMO the Daz models often look plastic and wrong, I can't explain better, they just don't look very realistic. Illusion's are more stylized, so there's no problem in not looking human.

In only 3 honey select games would I agree with that statement. Most look like melted asian homunculi. I agree that all 3D models exist within the Uncanny Valley, however I accept that fact. For my own projects I would have taken either 3D or 2D however I would have been more picky with a 2D artist. With 3D it's easy to adapt the environments to the story, however, my first tale takes such a serious tone that it simply wouldn't work with a similar art style to popular 2D titles like Summertime Saga or Snow Daze.

This goes back to how much more Story matters than art. Don't get me wrong, bad art will stop me from even looking at a game, but if I start a beautifully rendered game and it can't keep me invested in it's story then it doesn't matter how beautiful it is. That goes for 2D and 3D alike. One of the games that keeps me most entertained has some of the most plastic art around, with SisterSisterSister. It's simply written just well enough to remain interesting.

To be fair, I don't care if models look "human" or "very realistic", just make them look good. I have seen better screenshots from Skyrim than some CGs in 3DCG games and they render those scenes to get best quality...

To be fair, the screenshots you're seeing from Skyrim have just as much TLC going into them.

Valid argument. Though, there is always a case of gameplay videos and just playing it, and my rig may not be a beast, but it still looked damn nice.
Swiping this slightly aside. It's a matter of models and personal taste (and sometimes posing them properly), because I have seen few renders from Daz3D that looked really great and I would love to see that as CGs.

EDIT:
I just realized something I did comment on 3D renders long time ago somewhere. Posing. That's one of the things that does hit me hard. I often feel like those models look weird, remind me more of mannequins on a shop display. I have no idea if people making those study anatomy and how human body behaves, but I know that it's really hard to produce a decent draw without such knowledge. Maybe that's what striking me always as "odd".
