What game would you like to recommend if you ONLY have one chance?

Will you only recommend it due to your own favorability or consider its gameplay, plot, art style etc comprehensively then make your recommendation?
It can be tough to find such a flawless game,,I haven't find it yet,I did play some games which are worth playing again(because you find it fun,not to grind to get some extra scenes or items.),but I don't deem others will like it as well
So did you get one?

Not 100% sure what you mean, but if it's if I could only recommend one game, that's easy, Being a Dik, so much so that the worst thing I can say about it, is that it has made it harder to enjoy other games, the undisputed King of adult games. Even if you don't like it as a matter of personal taste, you can't deny the level of work that's gone into it.

Story, characters, animation quality and the sound, I even listen to some of the songs from it when not playing the game.

Briefly speaking, you recommend it because you like it or it perfroms well in all aspects.
Being a Dik is a nice one,but its art style can be a concern if you are going to recommend it,I'd like to make a comparision when I'm trying to share jojo's bizarre adventure with others, the first time they saw it,they refused immediately, reason is simple:art style.

Most of my favorites are pretty niche. Some don't even have graphics. I'd probably go with this simply because it probably has the most mass-appeal. And it's definitely the funniest while doing a very good job with the themes it has (maledom + orgasm denial + romance/harem). Not my absolute favorite due to the lack of substantial gameplay, but certainly in the top 5.

If you put a gun to my head and told me to somehow force out an answer, the first thing that comes to mind is the last sovereign. However, I would also add that such a question has no answer, because it's too vague. Last sovereign would be my top one for "came for the sex but somehow actually stayed for the plot". For the rpg maker game female prota, I would say the tower and the grimoire. For "harsh" trainer, insight of you. For "short" trainer, pink tea game in general. For mindcontrol, nobleman retort is the one that stuck the most to mind. I think salvation and harem hotel deserves a place somewhere too.

Really? Interesting take. Can't see anything that extreme about the art style, personally. It's a standard Daz3d rendered VN, maybe more on the polished side than most. If I were to make a list of good games with art styles that are acquired tastes, it'd be games like Fantasy Valley and Light of my Life. BaDIK wouldn't even feature on the list.

On topic. If I were recommending a game to someone who doesn't frequent F95 or doesn't generally play adult games, it'd probably be What a Legend! It's the closest to a regular old school adventure game that I've played, art is great, writing is a lot of fun, and there are enough puzzles/quests in there to make it feel like a proper game and not just a spankfest. I'd rate it well above games like Leisure Suit Larry that tried to skirt the line between game and porn back in the day.

Honey Select 2. The character customization means you can make the women look more masculine, thereby making it vastly superior to all other porn. Not to mention how insane it can look if you play around with the lighting.

Not all that game-ish, but people are bringing up VNs so...

I would recommend the best game that has a lot of content, that game would definitely be Waifu Academy even though it's current update situation is less than ideal, but when I first started out playing the game, it was literally a 2 week long cock-choke-a-thon every day for several hours. The game has a lot of content if you're just starting out, plenty of good looking girls and scenes for them.

Recommended for people that like cunning male MCs, thicc female characters, blackmail, male domination...etc.

Bunny Black because I played it as a non-porn game and was fun as a non-porn game. The porn parts were just a bonus, and were not unlocked from dumb losing on purpose. It is an older H-SRPG series but a ton of fun. Plus harems. Can't beat harems.

I'd never recommend something for being 'perfect' or 'flawless'. Because that doesn't really mean anything. Because it means something else to every person. And more often than not something else than that person thinks (because humans are generally awful at knowing and predicting what truly makes themselves happy).
For the same reason I'd never recommend something based on the idea of being 'great for everyone'. Because mass appeal simply means 'unoffensive to as many people as possible'. But no one truely attaches to unoffensive. No one gets emotional over unoffensive.

I'd rather recommend something that will have meaning to some than something everyone forgets about within a few days.

And so my pick would be Acting Lessons.

Yes, because I personally love it. Because it plays with the tropes of the 'Adult Virtual Novel' genre rather than just repeating them. Because it surprises. Because it has a sense of realism that makes it easy to attach to. Because it doesn't just go the easy route of giving people what they expect and want in service of making a point many need to hear and embrace.

But most of all because it shows the power of the genre by getting under people's skin.
Many hate it for that, many love it for that.
But I've seen few apathetic about it.

No, the game's by no means 'perfect'. But it has the ambition to say something. And it doesn't shy away from pissing people off for that.
That's why I respect and love it so much. And I would want to give other people a chance to do the same.

Do you hate people that much? lol. I mean, I absolutely love that game, don't get me wrong, but as the only recommendation? It's so damn dark as a one off. Though, I will say that not only is it a superb story, but it gets pretty damn close to my ideal yandere girl minus all the burning and death stuff.

If I were to pick one single game to recommend it would be one of my happier favorites. One with a good amount of content, a decent amount of drama (but not enough to be a drag), etc. Something like WVM.

City of Broken Dreamers has hit the ball out of the ballpark (as yankees would say). It's not a game, it's a movie you participate in. So i'd recommend that.

Haha, not at all.
Quite on the contrary.

The game may send you into the depths, but I don't think it's dark at all.
I think it's actually one of the most positive and inspirational games I've seen.*
Because it does what it does not just for effect. But to make a point
And that point is all about embracing and enhancing life.

I get many won't see the same message I do (or not see one at all).

But I know some will. To some it will mean as much as it does to me.

And if it was my recommendation that led them there it was worth it.

That's what I talked about earlier. Meaning to some rather than nothing to everyone.

*At the very least that's true for the 3 / 22(?) endings I got.

Happy to hear my three minutes of sponanous afternoon philosophy resonated with you. :giggle:

Hope you too will find something of worth in the game!

It's rare to see people derive some actual meaning from any of these games. Be it AL or some dark, philosophical shit that Japanese devs like to do. Most people are stuck at the surface level. They are so hung up on the fire that they ignore or block out the message of hope and healing that follows. I don't even particularly like vanilla romance, but even I felt the ending of AL to be very moving. The music, the visuals of standing by the tree looking into the sunset while holding hands with what's her name, and the story that lead up to this moment... life goes on, you know?
