What gaming category don't work with adult games?

I'd be down for a more varied selection of genres for my porn games. All the genres you mentioned are definitely viable as well. I just played Hades for a bit, and it would take very little effort to turn that into an adult game. The biggest hurdle is making sure the nonsex mechanics are fun. Visual Novels don't really have to worry about that. Shooters and Roguelikes are the ones that demand this. If you're looking to make one of either of these, play some good and bad examples of each to get a rough idea of what you do and don't want your game to feel like.

Do a burnout style. Every time you destroy someone's vehicle, you gain one photo with them or something. Destroy their vehicle enough times to unlock an after race animation.

Okay. I take it back. I can see a Mario-Kart-like where your power ups like project porn onto your opponent's wind shields and blind them or like there's a kind of strip-poker-like racing mechanic.

Could be a Pink Slip style system. You get the car and the Girl.

I suppose it was only a matter of time before the people of this site figured out how to make a NTR Racing game. Title could even be NTR PRIX.

Also, if we get away from the driving, I can see different kinds of racing genres relevant to porn genres. Like racing to setup and shoot a scene then to get out Cecil B Demented style.

It would still not generally be a racing game as we know it though.

Many porn 'gamers' just want to see pictures or reading story. And opinion about story quality may be very polar here.

And all this mean that almost any 'true' hardcore gamer genres didn't work here.

I mean real deep strategy, fast arcades, intense action, hard puzzles.

Roguelikes sound like the perfect genre for ryona games. Usually those are linear action-platformers.

Funny enough there is no lack of people trying, I am pretty sure I stumble upon a few projects like that.

unless all gamers can appreciate NTR, RACING GAMES won't work with adult games.
It'll be a race where the competitors will bet their hot chicks, and the loser gets cucked.
I bet many will rage quit after realizing they only have a soap box to ride on an uphill race.
