What makes you angry about the adult gaming community in general?

There will always be things that people would find annoying or downright frustrating in communities so I'm asking what really grinds your gears in the adult gaming section of the internet?

For example say when a game comes up with tags that some users might not enjoy such as either femdom or NTR there will always be people that feel the need to spam their displeasure over a game not pandering to their own fetishes nd clog up the thread with their whining.

When it comes to tags I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate ... did I mention hate? ... when I get all excited about seeing the lesbian tag then read more tags and see "male protag" ... just fuck off.

Seems lesbian doesn't actually mean lesbian it just means 2 women that happen to do something together before bouncing on a dick. Then someone did some mental gymnastics and came up with the excuse that tags are only a loose guide on what may be in the game.

That's my second biggest hate.

My first is devs that pander too much to their audience.

When I download a game or a novel I do so under the assumption i'm going to be looking at the devs work and ideas. I don't want to follow a game that has ideas from half that devs Patron because those end up a messy cluster fuck of nonsense.

When it comes to story I expect the dev to have it laid out already with a plan on how they are going to do it and the means to finish it. Sure it's expecting a lot but after several years of playing adult games i'm sick to the back teeth of abandoned bullshit and half arsed copy pasta incest games being shat out.

The main issue I have with devs that rely too much on their players is while player A may think his idea is great, for other people it's a shower of steaming piss on a bowl of cereal ... terrible in other words. I saw one thread here with a dev saying he would hire a writer if he got any interested and a few people piped up they were. 2 of those people had already replied in the thread with some of the worst ideas i'd seen typed out by a human being. Ideas so bad they would have killed the game for a lot of others and i'm not stretching the truth their. I'll hunt the thread down later but the ideas were soaked in anal juice.

My smallest hate is monthly support.

I've got no problem supporting a dev but I won't until I know what i'm supporting will be finished. Usually i'll throw a lump sum at the end. I've been burned too many times with kickstarter, early access, monthly patreon etc... I aint doing it no more. I'll pay willingly but not until the end is in sight.

Before someone says "but devs need the money to live"... there is no certainty that their project will take off. They should have the means to finish it before they start it. It can take 2 or 3 games before someone has built enough support to make a living from it. Shitting out a 0.1 and expecting to make enough money to live is quite possibly the most hilariously delusional thing i've seen people do.

I see people with stretch goals of quitting their jobs if they start making X amount of money and I think they are idiots. The game they are working on might start making them money but then their platform might pull their game or they do something that loses them support or they have an issue with hardware and can no longer work on it. They are then left unemployed with no income.

It's a very fickle industry where very few make the big bucks. I see too many do it just to make money and it never works out for them. They get this idea they can make thousands because someone else has done it but then they miss certain points that those other devs have been around a lot longer and have a few games under their belt.

After so much shit has been released their are fewer people willing to invest in new devs. If a dev is willing to prove themself and do the work then the money will come. If they are just looking for a quick buck they will be shit out of luck.

I like the sound of my own typing, long winded post over.

Complaining about tags / fetishes in games instead of ignoring the game or part of the game.

Being angry at people who ask for cheats/saves.
I don't use save files but I like to cheat from time to time just to get a more easier game experience.
If other people want to enjoy the game just from the gallery then what is the problem.
Sucks for the devs because they put work into the game but nobody has the right to say how you should enjoy things.

Avoiding certain engines.
It's okay to have preferences in terms of gameplay or interface but refusing to even look at a game just because it's not made in the engine you want (and complaining in the game thread about it) is stupid IMO.
Another thing is "fan remakes" in other engines. Taking another developer's game and just changing the engine is really insulting.

Spoon-feeding new devs.
When someone works on a game and hit a wall they immediately come to the forum to ask for help.
They paste a huge chunk of their code and ask others what is wrong because they can't even be bothered to figure that out on their own before asking for a solution.
The first couple of replies they get are also huge chunks of code that solve the issue. The dev just copies and pastes that code into his game hoping to fix everything without even trying to understand the problem and it's solution. This way many new devs can't think for themselves.
It's okay for devs to ask for help and to give help but not like this.

Hard to imagine things to be any better in the industry than they are right now.
The only direction for the community in the future is down.

It's like any other community. You have people who give the devs helpful feedback. You have people who shit on the devs for the smallest annoyance. Fanboys and fangirls, haters, devs looking to get rich quick, devs doing a passion project.

Just like society in general, really. Cool people, douches and everybody in between.

But yeah, douche-bags. They make me angry. Everybody else get's a pass :giggle:

1. For devs/uploaders: Improper tags or non-existent tags. For example, if something is about incest, it should be tagged as such. Even if Patreon rules means it's clumsily hidden, the dialogue usually makes it obvious. Tag that stuff so I don't waste my time and bandwith. That's just the most common example. It happens with all kinds of stuff.

2. People sniping each other over preferences. If it ain't pedophilia, let it go. I find lots of stuff gross, unfathomable, distasteful, etc...put I don't need to piss in someone elses wheaties. There's a little degenerate in all of us.

3. Devs: bait and switch. You know what I mean.

4. Subtle and not-so-subtle racism in the community. Unfortunately, some of this is unavoidable. If someone fetishizes "BBC" or cuckolding, the characters in the game are going to look and act a certain way. Younger people are going to consume that common material and get ideas. I'd certainly love to see more Liams and less unrealistic DaQuans. Of course, some of the developers and users are pretty provincial and get ideas from the old tropes, so what are ya gonna do?

5. Crying about breast sizes, penis sizes, etc. For tits, well...you see what you're getting into as soon as you go to the page. Move on. For dicks...we've all seen bigger in porn and TBH if 6 is average, anything less than 9 is probably pretty common. Also, most growth down there is complete in the early teens IRL. So yeah, a scrawny adolescent can be packing. Again, move on.

6. Finally, for devs: BS build numbers have got to stop. A 1.0 should be a a rough smooth at worst. Maybe some bugs or rough edges to sand off, but complete in most ways that matter. That also means a 0.8 or 0.9 should be "almost done" builds. Not a quarter of the way. Not half way. Of course, the way AAA's get shat out unfinished nowadays I shouldn't be surprised.

I agree these are the same things that can make me very angry and end up ruining my day sometimes but douchebags if I ever get a pass beating one to death or insulting them in every other way possible I'll do it with utmost pleasure

Well, there's one thing that bothers me in our community - REVIEWS AND RATING SYSTEM.
Among many really great games, there is high amount of highly overrated ones. I think understand why this is happening, that people might have different opinion than mine about this game, I know there's nothing we can do about it (maybe we shouldn't) - but I find it really annoying when some game with shitty writing and pretty renders but anorexic characters - is 5 star rated -> same as (for example) The DeLuca Family. It's just not fair!

I kinda feel like I've replied to these kinda threads a bunch. But I have a moment so whatever.

  • When a game is clearly just a front to get patreon money. Some kind of broken English 0.1 project with 2 scenes and no semblance of a plot. It's gotten to the point that I don't take risks on anything anymore.
  • When a character loves the protagonist for no reason whatsoever. Even worse if its the incest plotline where you sister/mother/aunt all want to fuck you for no reason whatsoever.
  • Any plotline that involves the player being rewarded for mundane favors/chores with sex.
  • Any plotline that involves the player being a total fucking creep. Stealing underwear, spying on people, or manipulating others into sex.
  • When the risk of pregnancy is never addressed. I realize this is my fetish so I'm just desperate for it. But c'mon man, you nut inside your cousin that didn't what what her pussy was used for up until a week ago like 10 times and it never comes up. Just give me a goddamn line about them needing to take birth control or even some kind of reaction to the spunk inside them possibly knocking the up.

Nothing grinds my gears. If I don't like a game the way the dev made it, I mod the game to the way I like it. Simple as that.

It amazes me how some people feel the need to bitch about what they don't like. Smashing their keyboards, punching their monitors... pathetic. "Hate" makes front page news. The more you hate a game, the more controversy, the more people talking about it, the more popular it gets. A wise man once said "Hate is like drinking poison, and wishing that your enemy dies" It's counter-productive. Praise the games you like, and ignore the ones you don't.

Learn to mod games. If you like parts of a game, and don't like some parts... mod the game and change the parts you don't like. Maybe other people will like your version better than the original.

I don't tend to complain. It costs me absolutely nothing to sit back and watch the shithouse behaviour of others. We all have our kinks, I don't see the point in shitting on people for liking something different to myself. I refuse to let some dickhead with a stick up their arse spoil my day. Love to all and all to love Motherfuckers x

simply put it was hate which gave Luthor failures after failures because even though he wanted to be a hero and save the world while earning fame and people's liking he's obsessive hatred for supermen led him to become a bad guy even though he could've killed Superman in the very beginning.
A reference from comic book yes but hate is a strong emotion which had destroyed a thousand of things hatred is a weapon Of satan himself which was and been used to cause chaos and damage throughout the course of our existent

the lazyness...
i fucking hate lazyness...

when we see the same game concept, over and over.... copy again of another copy of a copy of a copy of an original game concept.
best exempl ? mostly the incest stuff... or the BB clone and such...

i hate that.

can't a dev search for some originality ? i mean, they are shit tons of story that can be created , but NO ! let's make another "dad is away, i am alone with my family, i wanna bang them because i saw my mom naked on the shower...blablabla."
same story, same chars, same concept, same shit... again and again.

ARH ! give peoples some originality for god sake !

its boring as fuck to play the same thing over and over.. you feel like you already played that game before. and i hate that.

- Android beggars mostly in unity game threads
- users who aren't able to read OP
- users who ask the same question as other users have over and over again without using the search function!
This is my #1 pet peeves. Users who don't use search and the same question gets asked every other day. Although I guess it does increase the thread post count so I shouldn't complain.

The other annoyance is spending time developing tools such as hint systems, in game guide, etc. I even have an intro tutorial briefly explaining the answer to the most common question asked, only to get it asked a couple times a week. Which is why I now just reply with this image.

I agree its a similar pattern with like hollywood where they just reuse everything, eveyrone just wants a quick buck the easiest way possible which is a the whole incest-blackmail-hypno trio. But what they fail to realize is that the majority of the highest paid adult games are very unique and involveses great story to back it up.
