What makes you angry about the adult gaming community in general?

- The inappropriate use of the lesbian tag. People give the lesbian tag to games for having MMF threesomes, that is really frustrating and quite a boner killer.

- Complaining about unfinished or buggy games. Remember the developers here don't have the resources EA or Rockstar Games have. If a game has the fetishes I like, I tend to forgive technical inconveniences.

I agree with your first point, however for your second point I kinda disagree on a that a lot. For instance a game like Cloud Meadow is reached its third year in development and they have been making 18-20k month all the while showing insignificant improvements and the dozens of gamebreaking bugs that have never seem to be fixed. There's just not a lot of patience when a £0.99 game on steam has more content/gameplay then something that makes 200k a year

i fucking hate lazyness...

when we see the same game concept, over and over.... copy again of another copy of a copy of a copy of an original game concept.
best exempl ? mostly the incest stuff... or the BB clone and such...

i hate that.

can't a dev search for some originality ? i mean, they are shit tons of story that can be created , but NO ! let's make another "dad is away, i am alone with my family, i wanna bang them because i saw my mom naked on the shower...blablabla."
same story, same chars, same concept, same shit... again and again.

ARH ! give peoples some originality for god sake !

its boring as fuck to play the same thing over and over.. you feel like you already played that game before. and i hate that.
This...

Its not like it makes me angry but not a fan in blackmail in games. While i understand many people are into it, its not for me. And while some games make it avoidable, some devs go the blackmail route anyway, no matter if you choose no to go into it.
That's common in a lot of genres and is sorta excusable in developing games. A dev may say "incest/ntr/rape/gay" is avoidable and you find it untrue. Sometimes they are still working on the paths and their current build only has that one option you dislike. Just ask. Many devs are willing to explain and give you an estimate as to when the content will be made avoidable. Its the superfans of stuff you might dislike that will bitch at you for requesting clarification and info, not the devs (usually).

This but the other way around. I've seen too many games late into development with massive gaping holes and very little criticism. If the game is shown to the public it deserves to be criticized. For stuff in development it's half the reason to put it out in the first place, to TEST it. And failure is a valid result of a test.

I hate you. ...well, not you, but the sentiment of "porn over any other aspect" that really hurts the genre. All the thought being put into porn and barely any into gameplay, which makes games... bad, to be very generous, and that's on average. And this sentiment is being reinforced by audiences treating games like porn pics behind extra steps.

Patreon feedback loop of fans demanding stuff and devs pandering to them, without any regard to any sort of direction is annoying too.

And besides, there are plenty of games without the blackmail route to play, im just saying some great games i like have it and you can't do anything about it, ruining the fun :)

Patreon made me hate words "promising" and "potential". Someone without any experience pulls out another pre-early-alpha and everyone goes "wow, so much potential". Until a developer is steadily delivering content for at least half a year there is zero potential, lol.

And more of a stone towards japanese gamedev - adding a single niche scene to otherwise pretty vanilla game for the sole purpose of getting additional tag on dlsite. People who are there for bandits don't need it and I'm not gonna grind ten hours to see it. Because of that I have to search for CGs every time I find a new game, so annoying.

even as the game is clearly not THAT kind of game every mother shown will get reactions of "pant, pant , incest ? "
Or even a dog "drool drool , bestiality ? )

Ok , you can have your fetishes but not Always .
Good lord it's like talking to a veganist .

I think we can agree to disagree. IMHO porn games are porn first and games second for a variety of reasons.

First of all porn games can't compete with regular games, as far as the gaming aspect goes. Though many developers advertise their creations with buzzwords such as sandbox or open world, these games can never hope for anything close to real open world game play. On the other hand, porn games can very well compete with other forms of porn, because through their stories, they add some extra spice to otherwise genuine porn scenes.

Second, fetishes in porn are more narrow than preferences in gaming. While I generally prefer RPGs set in fantasy or sci-fi worlds, yet I still enjoy GTA Online, because of the humour, the story, the technical perfection and the freedom of gameplay. I couldn't say this about a porn game that doesn't have the fetishes I like. If I have to choice to either play a technically perfect porn game in a school setting about a teenage boy trying to win a girl's heart while rivaling a bully or a buggy unfinished game about a dominatrix trying to lure a MILF into lesbian bdsm, I will chose the latter option without a second thought.

Other than there being a sentiment against porn, which results in difficulties with distribution, there aren't many reasons that are not self-inflicted.

First of all porn games can't compete with regular games, as far as the gaming aspect goes.
Why not? We live in the age of indie gaming.

Though many developers advertise their creations with buzzwords such as sandbox or open world, these games can never hope for anything close to real open world game play.
Firstly, not true. They suck at doing it, but so do a lot of "normal" devs. Secondly, it doesn't have to be open world. There are plenty of other less demanding genres and "buzzwords".
On the other hand, porn games can very well compete with other forms of porn, because through their stories, they add some extra spice to otherwise genuine porn scenes.
If your other forms of porn only include regular video porn then yes, that's probably true. Compared to anything with any actual writing... unlikely. The only strength porn games have is interactivity. Right now, with some exceptions, everything else is done better by some other form of porn. And interactivity is gameplay, which gets ditched or misused by so many "games".
If I have to choice to either play a technically perfect porn game in a school setting about a teenage boy trying to win a girl's heart while rivaling a bully or a buggy unfinished game about a dominatrix trying to lure a MILF into lesbian bdsm, I will chose the latter option without a second thought.
So would I. For about half an hour. And after I get disappointed and annoyed, I would probably play former for a lot longer.

Decided to be lazy and copy paste someone else's post, as that complaint can be used for damn near everything, case in point what I edited to be...

EDIT - Also hate the complaining over the people asking the same questions... if F95zone had a damn decent "search" function, only the laziest people wouldnt use it... however asking for "console commands" and being told to "search function it" and getting 120 results from three fucking years ago that dont work on the current game is stupid and a waste of everyones time... The "advanced search" where you can put by relevance or date dont do shit either... I still get posts from 2017 and 2018 when looking for compressed versions, even if a "cruncher" just did it 1 page ago... (I did this once to test it).

Sucks for the devs because they put work into the game but nobody has the right to say how you should enjoy things.

Another thing is "fan remakes" in other engines. Taking another developer's game and just changing the engine is really insulting.
hypocrisy much ?

Its a delicate balance for me on those... putting ICSTOR's old games into Ren'py made them trash to me... I am glad i kept my RPGM versions of them... that said I couldnt imagine playing "Anna's Exciting Adventure" on RPGM, that game works way better on Ren'py and the dude who is porting it is doing a phenomenal job... he kept the moaning sounds (something most ren'py ports get rid of) he kept all the choices, just got rid of the walking... for ICSTOR we lost all the stupid little mini-games... Milf Control was decent, but I actually liked the damn card game !!

Can you imagine someone porting Roundscape Adoveria to Ren'py ? it would suck ass... That's an RPG with sex content in it... not a porn game with a walking simulator forced on you...

Okay I understand your point, I didn't catch that while writing but I still think is one thing to enjoy a game in different ways than the dev would like (cheating, saves) while it's still his game and completely another thing to enjoy a stolen version of someone's game. Even if the remake is hundreds of times better it still doesn't sit right with me.
If the dev makes a remake in another engine then that's fine with me.

Overall things are pretty great. We're in a unique time where even an idiot like me is able to make a VN with gorgeous characters. That leads to a lot of crap, of course, but then we get the occasional jewel and the occasional creator is even able to make a full-time living off of this. Wild stuff.

So there's very little I "hate" about what's going on now, but there is one thing worth mentioning: when a game gives you an option and then when you select the option it tells you no. For example, Cure My Addiction has a sex scene that gives you a choice of cumming inside the girl or not. If you choose inside her, it'll just tell you no. Why give me that option if you're not going to let me take it?!

I feel there are too many "Sandbox" Games, but the only thing the Sandboxing does is confuse the Players. You basically just have to click through Backgrounds until you find the new Scene. I really don't see any benefit there.

It's like any other community. You have people who give the devs helpful feedback. You have people who shit on the devs for the smallest annoyance. Fanboys and fangirls, haters, devs looking to get rich quick, devs doing a passion project.

Just like society in general, really. Cool people, douches and everybody in between.

But yeah, douche-bags. They make me angry. Everybody else get's a pass :giggle:

I think my biggest complaint is that part about Devs doing this thinking that this market, world, place on the Internet, etc is an easy or a get rich quick kind of thing without knowing what it takes to get to the top (ie a Dark Cookie, Redamz, Palmer, ICSTOR, Adeptus Steve, MrDots, etc)

Sure there's complaints you can throw at those at the top but for the most part it takes a shit ton of work, sacrifice, and dedication (and frankly - a crap ton of luck) to make it there - and even more to stay.

I'm at the point where I rarely want to try a v0.1 or an alpha or a demo anymore because I know 95% of them probably won't make it to a version 2 or 3 and will be abandoned within a few months.
