I can almost always dress something that is at least functional and doesn't hurt my feet or something. Flat shoes always an option to men. Sadly not to women. -Women wearing high heels.

Not a massive deal breaker, but I'm not a fan of them. The less I see of them, the better.

I... can't begin to describe how much "what" this is for me. Unless it's a post-apocalyptic world with limited means of communication, you can literally just go to a bar, join a dating site or... whatever and get laid like that. But no. Haven't had sex (dead husband, divorced or w/e)... still won't get a new boyfriend/husband. Doesn't matter if it's been several years since the husband died/divorced... nope, dry spell, refuse to find new husband, better suck son's cock.

I hate NTR with a passion. It's happened to me three times. It's not hot. It's a fucking pain. No matter how much I like the game, the instance that happens, I drop it and don't look back.

Grinding. Constantly doing the same thing over and over just to earn points to have it go a bit farther.

Repetitious storylines. I realize that certain ideas make money/attract fans but make something unique with your story. Make it stand out in some way.

Totally passive MC's/NPC's. Even a sub has wants and desires that they reach for.

Also, convoluted progress. If a game is only playable with a walkthrough, it's inherently flawed.

It's nice to know there are people on this forum who have similar criticisms as I have. For me it's the cynical MC and the way the MC even in games where they are suppose to be the top dog, are, in fact, always indecisive and lack assertiveness. Or their assertiveness is only displayed as lashing out, only to then act like a frightened dog. In every game I've tried at some point the developers make it so the MC becomes their companions follower.

I.e. any time some major or even minor decision has to be made, it's always, "I best check with so-and-so to see what they think". Also when ever the MC answers a question, their answer is always tweaked to be less intelligent. Just so that the NPC can give the MC a smug lecture.

EDIT:: OOPS!! I misread the title of the thread, my post is still relevant, but my criticisms are what I would consider MAJOR annoyances. I've stopped playing a number of games and deleted them, the cringe was so bad. Two examples, A House in the Rift and Being a Dik. The female character models drew me in, but the MC's personality and attitude in both cases as with many games, put me off.

I don't know what you mean by "especially female MC's" because I've tried a few female MC driven games and aside from one, they've all depicted the female MC to be very decent. Yet, I've only come across a few games that have looked interesting enough to try.

On the other side of the situation, male MC's in every game I've tried, a hundred give or take, are always in story situations that make them out to be the jestures fool, to put it lightly.

If op has asking only about erotic games, then there are a lot of crap that makes you to quit a game.
Yes, as people have already mentioned, excessive slutiness of characters (not only main), grind, MC-magnet for cocks/cunts etecetera etecetera etecetera.
But all of that are common problems. My personall foe in erotic games (good erotic games) - random sex events. I've perfectly recalling the moment, when I dropped Yumi Miru Kusure. Basically, it's happening at the beginning hour or so.
