I go with 2D western and I think pixel art should be a different option as they’re quite popular because of rpg games, although most of them mix both 2D and pixel art.
unfortunately 2d western doesn’t seem to be as popular as 3d.
i like 3d too depending on the render and to me the story is more important than the art style, but it would be nice to have more 2d western options.

Any art style would work for me if it doesn't look like a 5 years old doodled on a piece of paper.

What I really don't like is when games only have ONE TYPE of woman, there's some really good looking games out there but every woman in those games look like they're pin-up or Playboy-cover type girls. Not every woman in real life looks like a super model with Cup D+ ... for God's sake add some variety to your cast! Add some cute girls, Add some girls with flat chests that aren't necessarily Futa(trans) and add some ugly and/or nerdy girls as well.

So it's not so much what type of art is used but how it's being used in my experience.

I totally understand that everyone has their own tastes, and totally get where you're coming from. However, there are a lot of games on here where most of the women are very thin with B-cup or smaller chests. Given that's not what turns me on, I don't even bother with them, even if they seem interesting.

For me, the game should be a hot fantasy, and not based too much in reality. And that means stocked with really hot women that I'm very attracted to.

If I'm honest it depends on the game and type of renders, I normally hate honey select models, but I've seen good ones. It honestly depends on the game, actual style (original) etc

I think the best in all respects is the SIMS4+MODS style. It's no longer a crude primitive like the vanilla SIMS 4, but it's not yet the sinister, desolate valley of DAZ3D
The simplicity of rendering, cameras, animation and the richness of emotions, rich environment and simplicity - the best choice of a novelist.
I can't tell if this is sarcasm. If not, would you mind recommending a game with Sims 4 art? I don't think I've played any.

I love 2D especially when it detaches itself from reality with excesses (funny facial expressions, absurd proportions), so I would vote for the anime style.

I prefer the hand-drawn Western style 2D artwork.

I wouldn't mind 3D so much if there wasn't such a push for photorealism with it. Photorealism is so hard to achieve, and the uncanny valley effect gets worse the closer you get without hitting the bullseye. Even games that achieve photorealism now will look terribly dated in just a few years.

Look at the older Daz 3D model packages - or realistic video games like - they looked amazing at the time, but even though they only came out a little over a decade ago, they look quite dated compared to the newest versions. Indie devs working on games with multiple year development cycles should lean more into stylization with their 3D, IMHO.

But I also like purely text games a lot too. I'd rather have descriptive and evocative text and no graphics than bad art. I'm an avid reader with a good imagination. I guarantee the woman I can imagine in my head is hotter than whatever you can kitbash together.

I like any style, but my biggest need is for the characters to stand out. If your character looks exactly the same as another previous game's character because you both used default model A with hair B then I will judge it poorly. Making a character stand out is a lot harder to do with the Anime like style programs (koikatsu, etc.) where the only difference between character A and B in a game is the color of their hair.

I do expect more depending on the software used. If it is hand drawn then I don't expect too much, maybe Live2d for animations to it. However if you are using one of those anime programs which literally has animated sex, cum, pregnancy, body part growth, etc., and you instead use stills or take a huge amount of time to put out an update then I will judge it poorly.

IDK if those were supposed to be examples, but the one on the left is anime style, and the one on the right looks an awful lot like Honey Select to me.
Agreed, would not consider either of those to be Western Animation. Both are very anime.

RP (beats everything)
daz3d western (something authentic and natural. without crackholed eyes, triangle butts, mannequin or sexdoll vibe, or some general ugliness..which eliminates at least 3/4 of all existing renders )
traced art (gggb-like)
other art. (i liked paprika trainer gials , wish that game was some corruption-heavy classic sandbox and not some arcadish trainer)
