I'm a big fan of trainer games, but in general they don't really deliver on the core gameplay loop they promise.

They present these Stat pages and activities to manipulate those stats. Manipulated stats lead to new behaviors and new scenes. However, usually the stats are a lie and you're actually on a fairly straightforward VN.

I want a game that actually delivers on the trainer game system. Fairly sandbox, with a variety of ways to interact with the female character(s), those interactions adjust stats that change how she talks, acts, dresses, her routines, and her willingness to bang. All without sacrificing the story and character elements that I enjoy.

I would also like different combinations of stats to have different outcomes.
  • Brainless bimbo cum dumpster
  • Bratty sub
  • Lovey pet
  • stepfordization (trad wife)
  • Obedient defeated slave (she is sad about being owned but can't fight the pelasure)
It doesn't exist because it is an absolutely massive ammount of work to do.

It still an engine & takes chunks of coding to do anything special in it outside of a slideshow
that happens because the strategy of using an "easily modified framework with a free use agreement so simpletons like me could try make our own games" is inherently far more restrictive than making everything from scratch. getting around that forces all kinds of complexities, compromises, unwanted redundancy and bugs. that's why almost all software nowadays is gigantic, incredibly slow and bad.

making it all from scratch would not only run 100x faster but also remove all the systemic clunkyness. but then you need to learn to actually program yourself, and most people are more afraid of that minor challenge than using years to troubleshoot platforms, frameworks and libraries they're using to 'make it easier'.

What I would like is a truly Replayable and Dynamic Erotic Game.
Where you can download character mods and personalities to your game have a fun time playing.
Something like Artificial Academy but that has some actual Gameplay and is intresting to play as.
Definitely wish Artificial Academy was a real game and not just a loose context for sex animations. Especially the earlier ones, before they gave up on the idea of having actual male characters. Even as-is some interesting stories would develop. I still think about this male student with long, red hair and max athletics who was dating one of the other characters but always ran straight at me at warp speed whenever he spotted me just to act all standoffish like he didn't care. My nonchalant hyperspeed cheating stalker.

When Angelscript or Verse is close to release (built-in to Unreal), I'll probably try making a VN plugin / framework. Then, you would just need to know how to use a UI framework on top of your game. Unreal is not super easy, but I think it's worth getting into for devs.

Id love a trainer/breeding game combination. Kinda imagine Free Cities but the player isnt immortal, ages and dies the same the slaves do. And maybe you're royality for a setting, your job being to produce a heir and train em to inherit the kingdom, in addition of your other kingly/queenly duties: leading the nation. One day your character dies because of some event where you failed a check, because of age or because you decided to retire them and then the player character becomes your heir, at the coronation.

But it'd be one huge undertaking cause trainers and good breeding games both have a fuck ton of variables and work needed to make them matter. And then you combine it with a bit of long live the queen gameplay where the same kinda stats are checked in world events and the lethality is high.

Or how about : You play a heroine, but are way too weak, gets defeated and impregnated by whatever defeated you, you retire from adventuring cause preggers, turns out your child is stronger than you cause you got bred by something strong. You're now playing that child. Rinse and repeat to absurdity where you eventually fight and fuck gods. Funny spin on a roguelike?

An easily modded framework with an archive templates to many changes would be very useful. First you saying renpy is that, now you saying just learn to program. Maybe (just maybe) making a game with very well organized and coded templates could help along that 'learn to program' path.

Its the final step, I am clunking my way through renpy in my spare time, just would be nice to read some well done code to learn the right way as I learn, rather than whatever I can make work. The problem (for me at least) is I dont like VN, its not a game more a powerpoint presentation with smut, without true interactivity I dont really like a game (inventory, paperdoll avatars, choices/consequences the whole works). Thus its f'ing hard to learn to do, so figured I'd throw my wish in this here wish thread.

I can put up with a lot. There are very few kinks that I outright avoid; vore, gore, etc. I'd say there are two primary requirements that if you can achieve it would put you in the top 10 to 20% for me since it's so rare in adult games.

1. Consistently well written. Meaning it doesn't start out strong then get lazier update by update.
2. The MC is consistent. Example: Avoid the well adjusted, good guy MC that just can't catch a break that randomly face fucks his sister/mother/brother's wife while she's sleeping.

What Gameplay would you like to see in this type of games?
The problem is this projects don't have much of a functioning formula.
The characters are just kind of there, most of the time they don't even do much of anything.
I would like more ideas from other players on what kind of experience they imagine this games should have.

A true sandbox game. Start with a point and click adventure game interface where the characters are 3D models. You can create your own character. He can be a young college creeper or a scruffy dirty old man. There would be soft RPG mechanics related to the job sub-systems. It's set in a small neighborhood and as you go deeper into the game you unlock more areas. Each of the girls has her own distinct personality, likes, dislikes and kinks. Probably a ton of behind the scenes stats. You would effect these stats either trough conversations, giving her gifts, inviting her out places, or playing with her.

The dialog system would be similar to a visual novel where you can make choices through the conversation and these effect the ultimate result of the conversation (base relationship stats manipulated, maybe some background stats about preferences slightly effected). And the dialog system would have a ton of generic dialog but with a bunch of small flourishes added procedurally to the text to give it a hint of the girl's character. Each girl would have a bunch of her own specific dialog scenes too,

As you progress your relationship with them you can purchase them clothing and other gifts. Most of the clothing items at the start are fairly normal stuff and the girl will wear the clothes in her inventory based on her preferences, but the things you do can affect their preferences slightly (and as the girl gets more corrupted she will be more willing to wear sexier and sexier clothes). The reason it's important for the characters to be rendered as realtime 3D models is so they can have different clothes swapped in easier.

When you interact with a girl you get a menu with like "talk," "ask," "gift (if you have an item)," "kiss," "fool around with," etcetera.

There would be options to either play adult scenes out as cut scenes where maybe you get a few dialog options about "doggystyle or reverse cowgirl?" or "cum inside or pull out?" Or you could play them out as a sex minigame. When you kiss a girl it would display her shoulders and head and you can click where you like, and different girls would react differently to being kissed different places (and this would also depend on their relationship to you). There would also be a menu on the side to just play it out as a cut scene and have a generic response. Next you would unlock a groping scene. Being 3D would help with this in a few ways too. You could drag say a boob around and it would deform in the directions you're pulling it, or you could click on the buttons of a girl's outfit to unbutton it (maybe she freaks out, maybe she lets you). Ultimately it would all be in service of a sex minigame in the style of the old flash games of decades past. Tease the girl to get her horny, slowly undress her and have your way with her.

In general the NPCs would be guided with something akin to Oblivion's radiant AI system where they have hidden desires. They have a rough schedule of where they want to be and when and this is altered by hidden stats like hunger and fatigue and like desire to pick flowers or whatever.

There would be tons of little sub-systems I guess modeled after like Stardew Valley. There's just like little odd jobs you can do to make money. For some of them you can take a girl along if your relationship is good enough with her and you split the money. Maybe a girl likes to go fishing so you can take her out on a boat and this will increase both your relationship with her as well as get you some money. Maybe a girl wants to be a model so you get a nice camera and take her to a nice location to take pictures and then they're rated and maybe you make some money off them. And then once she's comfortable with you taking photos of her...

I actively enjoy playing villain protagonsits. If the premise of the game is "play this guy who is obviously a bad person" I am in, sounds fun.

I find the "play as good guy John Everyman and have all these girls fall for your romantic soul" games which involve all sorts of voyeurism, cheating, exploiting vulnerabilities (drunk, blackmail, etc.), and straight up sexual assault incredibly off putting. Like... does the dev not know those things are wrong?
