What's happening to the good games?

Is it my impression, after years of degenerate gooning, or the good story-driven games are going extinct? I go to the latest updates and it's full of gargabe and senseless fetish, without nothing of value beside GOONING. I know it's very egotistical of me to say this, since I don't develop anything, but I feel it's time to address this issue. I feel there are less and less immersive games, with good or even at least enternaing stories to play. Does someone feel that way too? And can someone recommend something good in this context, regardless of engine?

When the complaint is about " good story-driven games " another one might be that player grew out of enjoying edgy shit that is due to impress teenagers and young adults more easily.

At least that happened to me (not with porn games/ stories, I was too old when I started with that, but with films, books, comics, ...)

Use the search function and remove all the games with these "senseless fetish" to make your search easier. It might be a bit harder because of the AI stuff (if you're not into that, remove them from your search too), but chances are - games that fit your... needs... are still made.

It's really not that good games are gone, they just take time and making shitty, quick gooning games with AI is faster than putting effort on anything. That's why AI as such a bad reputation, because we end up with crappy diaolgue, generic art and a lack of story.
