I'm sorry but are you seriously saying that it is abnormal for someone to have no issue with playing a game where the MC is the opposite gender?Because I don't like roleplaying as the opposite sex? Because I'm actually a normal person?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If that were the case, games like Tomb Raider, Horizon:Zero Dawn, any Resident Evil where Claire or Jill are the protagonist would be complete failures because devs were alienating the half of the gamer population that is male. Then the female half would be alienated by (probably) 80% of the games made because of a male protagonist.
I have no issue playing as a male or female. I'm a 42 year old male and I'll play any game you set in front of me until the story or gameplay starts lacking (looking at you, Witcher 3 and Star Wars: Fallen Order). As long as story and gameplay are good, I'll play it to completion. Then, again, I was raised in a female household -no brothers or father, just mom and two sisters- so maybe that why I can relate to a character regardless of gender. Even transgender content doesn't bother me as I can look past the penis or vagina when experiencing the story or being intimate with them.
