What's up with all the female protag games lately?

Because I don't like roleplaying as the opposite sex? Because I'm actually a normal person?
I'm sorry but are you seriously saying that it is abnormal for someone to have no issue with playing a game where the MC is the opposite gender?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If that were the case, games like Tomb Raider, Horizon:Zero Dawn, any Resident Evil where Claire or Jill are the protagonist would be complete failures because devs were alienating the half of the gamer population that is male. Then the female half would be alienated by (probably) 80% of the games made because of a male protagonist.

I have no issue playing as a male or female. I'm a 42 year old male and I'll play any game you set in front of me until the story or gameplay starts lacking (looking at you, Witcher 3 and Star Wars: Fallen Order). As long as story and gameplay are good, I'll play it to completion. Then, again, I was raised in a female household -no brothers or father, just mom and two sisters- so maybe that why I can relate to a character regardless of gender. Even transgender content doesn't bother me as I can look past the penis or vagina when experiencing the story or being intimate with them.

Hey, if you want to watch men having sex with men, you do you. But I don't.
That exactly what i said, everyone have his own preferances and his own ways to play games, from what i understand from other comments in this thread you role play as the MC when you play this porn games, i play mostly for the gameplay and the story so we both don't have the same way of playing this games that why we have different opinion and that's ok.

Just an FYI, every tag used must be present in the game as explained in tag rules.

If you see any game advertising X tag and that tag is not found anywhere you should report the thread for them to fix it. According to the rules: "Please report any thread with incorrect and/or missing tag(s)"
(Just make sure to read the tag definition to know if it applies or not)
Yes. This does NOT stop people from failing at it.

It also does NOT fix the issue. As, someone would still be forced to comb through a game for hours, just to realize the dev is either stupid, or lying. That said: This site IS better than clusterfucks like ex: Hentaifoundry that just... ignores ALL rules for famous people. (Big devs do get to skirt some rules here, but not as bad.)

It's a band-aid, but a pretty good band-aid from what I've seen so far.
But I've as said, run into plenty of games with ex:
The lesbian tag, but 0 lesbian content. And the dev saying they are "considering adding it later".
Or saying "This character is lesbian!" and then have her fuck a dude.
Or having two girls fuck a dude... never interacting between each other. Just taking turns on his dick.
Or have 200 straight scenes. And 1 half-assed lesbian picture without a finish.
Or having 0 lesbians scenes, but IF you decompile the game you CAN find this scrapped, unfinished lesbian scene! So it's TECHNICALLY there.
Or having a girl fuck a guy while cucking/being watched by another girl.
Or having 2 playable male PC's. And a "playable" female PC... without any scenes. You can walk around the place. But, they only interact with the male PC's.
There's A LOT of "this is probably close enough".

People are bad at tagging. Whether intentional or not.
We can fix it with reports in most cases. Doesn't make it less of a pain in the ass for people and mods to have to double check if something actually contains something.
