Personally I disagree, NTR is just a sub Form of masochism, it's not about not feeling things in general but the desire to feel hurt and/or degrated.
I think that some people require this heavy form because they grew to tolerant to weaker forms, but it still boils down to a form of masochism in my book and also a reason I can't feel anything but disgust for it.

I think you think NTR is more popular than it is because there's a lot of recent AI infused (especially phone games) being developed and having lots of small updates to keep them pushed to the top of recent updates lists.

I don't think it's as big as you may be led to believe, but it's certainly popular these days! The phone method is pretty minimal for text, and works well for just going random CG selfies or pictures together as the significant other bangs random people who rarely need to adhere to consistent art.
