Well, you made sure it was mentioned that she didn't involve herself too much in the things. Back when I first played it, I figured it was to avoid players like me turning away from her. It worked for me, I played both her routes. And later her motives and reasons was explained, iirc. To be fair, the same could happen in The Inheritance, except I'll be less likely to care.

I'm not a big fan of NTR either, and only in rare cases has it been something I could handle, when it's appropriately handled, or easily avoidable... It's only when it gets thrown in my face with no way, right off the bat, of either avoiding it and/or getting arid of it quickly, do I really find it completely annoying and desire to stop reading/playing right away... I do understand there is a minority of folks out there, that love that crap, but I'm definitely not one of them...

I find that story based visual novels, even the corruption/mind bending ones, need a balance of romance along with the lust and sexual desire... It's the journey that makes an erotic VN/Game fun and enjoyable, and if it is all just a bunch of women throwing themselves at the protagonist one after the other, non-stop, it becomes repetitious and boring... I believe the best ones have substance and longevity and entertain, while also feeding into your needs along the way...

It really boils down to what you enjoy the most as the developer... If you are not enjoying what you make, outside of money, then it will end up showing in the content... It's a labor of love... You have to love what your doing, otherwise it's just an exercise in repetition...

If you want to have some characters come and go, as long as it makes sense in the story, and isn't detrimental to the plot, then it becomes an intricate part of the story you want to tell... You will always have some folks who may dislike a decision you make, but they just need to learn to deal with it... It's your baby and will grow as you see fit...
